RIP Cowboy Bebop

Post by LLslickD »

Ok so I was looking through upcoming movies on moviefone .com when I cam across this:

http://www.moviefone.com/movie/cowboy-b ... 25258/main

They can't be serious!? Even IF and that's a big IF they wanted to make Cowboy Bebop into a live action movie and not completely ruin and destroy the series, how on earth could they cast Keanu Reaves as Spike!? This is the worst thing I have ever heard and it has immediately put me in a bad mood. I'm gonna go cry now... /sob

Hollywood has become a bunch of parasites. Instead of coming up with good movies on their own, they rape concepts from other artists and their works, bastardize them and then try to shove them down our throats.

They spend billions of dollars on special effects, on location filming and advertising yet they can't seem to take the time to write a good script or find the right actors to do the job.

They are wasting our time and money while destroying their future. They are making younger generations dependent on mindless crap for entertainment. One day they are going to wake up and no one left alive will value real storytelling or remember what it is.

Well yeah, when I first heared his name I said WTF????
But the question is who the director is...
Maybe in the land of make-belief, or if the guy can get some lessons it can work out.....

I will watch it just for the dog....

Though the question is....
Is it like 2% BASED on the anime, like the Dragon ball movie....
Or will the thing be at least %50 on....>_<
Some say that life is like a box of chocolates, I say life is like a box of cake.

As far as I can make out, the final story/script has to go through the Sunrise execs for final approval - which at least shows some sort of desire to keep the story faithful.

I know that's an old piece of news - but the bottom of the first paragraph is what I'm basing my opinion on.

Again, first paragraph highlights some of the people associated with the new movie

I'm sure most of you have read all those articles before - but it goes to show - that in print at least - everyone involved in the project is wanting to do the very best they can to keep what made the anime so great.

However, in saying that - there's no guarentee until the movie comes out - but this is a hell of a lot more than was done with Dragonball.
