The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

Hadn't quite thought of it that way...

Of course, now, you must understand that I live with a man who is following in his father's footsteps. That is to say, the volume has to be turned up louder and louder as the days go on in order for him to catch it...
... wonder if the extra pair of ears might help

Maybe he can pair up with my grandfather. The volume on his tv makes the THX-trailer sound like a mouse sneezing.

LOL! Actually, I wondered about that, too. But, what made me wonder was not the fact that they had four hears (a human pair and a cat pair) but the idea that they loose them made me think twice.
I mean, deer loose their antlers, right? But, the blood vessels are all contained in the velvet, which is shed first. There is no blood flow to the antlers, or, if I'm remembering it wrong and there is, that blood flow stops when it's time for the deer to loose their antlers. The thing is, there are certainly no muscles and no nerves in the antlers.
Clearly, this is not the case with the cat ears in Loveless, since the characters frequently move their ears and their tails in order to express their emmotions, as another form of body language. This suggests that the ears and tails MUST have muscles, nerves, tendons, and blood vessels with active blood flow.
So, what I found odd was the idea that after sexual intercourse, all those conections must shut off completely, causing the tissue in the ears and tail to die, causing them to fall off. That seems unlikely.
Now, if the ears and tail were more like antlers, in that they didn't move and didn't seem to have all the nerves and connections and stuff, then it would seem much more likely (to me, anyway) that they would (or could) fall off.
Nevertheless, I still love the show to bits, and that little issue just makes me more curious about it, rather than disliking it. Anybody have any idea if the creator(s) of the show have ever explained this in an interview? Or, maybe one of us could write her/him a letter? Now there's a thought.......!

Ah! Got it! Thanks! My newbie-ness was showing there, for sure! LOL! I totally need money so I can spend it all on cels! LOL!Pudge wrote:Rilezu cels are hand painted cels based on the original sketches, but were not used in the actual production of the anime. These cels are created for the sole purpose of providing collectors with a tangible cel for their collection. Rilezu cels often come with the original sketches used for the animation.
