The last Bleach episode I watched was when Renji was having erm, trouble, getting out of his gigai (I think it was an episode or two after the Shinigami arc ended... I think Lynxa had it as her avatar for awhile). That episode was more than enough for me. I'm not sure if I'll ever pick Bleach back up again. The manga has also failed to continue captivating me. But who knows how I'll feel when the anime gets back on track.

hm... i thought i was finally caught up on bleach but when my boyfriend and I were finishing getting me caught up, it was a filler episode and there were things in there that I hadn't seen....

Then we finally realized that I ended up falling asleep... and I am in fact not caught up at all . :-/ I stopped watching since then... I need to finish getting caught up.... haha

Personally at this point, I refuse to watch any more filler episodes one at a time.
That's like pulling off a band-aid s-l-o-w-l-y.

If I'm gonna torture myself, I'll do it in blocks of 4 episodes, with my thumb on the fast-forward button.

A new OP and Closing? I'll have to check that out.

I have actually been -- dare I say it -- enjoying the fillers lately??

I think this is primarily due to Cheezburger of Doom's parody site, which really ought to be archived for posterity. It is a candidate for the "Great Moments in Internet History" award, as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who hasn't experienced the "uterus patch" has missed out on one of the best running gags ever.

But the other fun part is looking for the most stellar exhibits of impossibly bad drawing, continuity errors, and so forth. The rubber sword was one of my favorites... and there are just too many to count, really.

In fairness, though, the storyline has picked up a bit, and we seem to be spiralling ever so slowly back toward something that resembles the original plot. Can we hope?

I had to give up on Naruto, but I've faithfully chunked along with the Bleach. They'd better make it worth my while, though ;)

EDIT: oooh! In my forced down-time (bronchitis sucks, ladies and germs) I just watched ep. 98. It was actually very good!! A cool fight scene, as mentioned a couple of posts back. Dare we hope??!!

She is a comedy GENIUS! I love her avatars. She has one of Aiken that seriously cracks me up, because it says in French : "I Eat Babies".

Every time she posts a new "Young and the Soulless" I laugh my balls off.

... And I don't HAVE any, so they're THAT funny. =D

I’m still hating the fillers.
I don’t understand anyone’s motivations or actions.

Chad is no longer a character. He’s just there, kind of like Larry in the Three Stooges.

Ishida just appears after a fight without any kind of explanation of how he could have gotten there.

After season 2, the Shinigami still rule the afterlife in comfort while many of the dead live in slums. But Ganju and Kuukaku, who hate the Shinigami and live a gypsy like existence under them, are going to help keep the Shinigami in power? Ichigo doesn’t like the way the Shinigami do things, but he’s also going to help keep the 13 Squads in power? They’re going to fight against the hordes of dead people who have been neglected. Why? Wouldn’t it be good for the dead to rise up against an oppressive rule? Shouldn’t our heroes be questioning their actions? Even if they are fighting against him, shouldn’t they consider that maybe Kariya’s right?

None of the characters have any inner conflict, except for Kenpachi.

Kenpachi, Mr. I-don’t-waste-my-time-on-weak-people, is reminiscing on über wuss, Ichinose. Why does Kenpachi even remember Ichinose? The guy was a pathetic underling who couldn’t raise his sword against the man who killed his captain, and now… he’s still a pathetic underling. If Kariya is the strongest, shouldn’t Kenpachi want to fight him? Why isn’t Kenpachi trying to find out the name of his Zanpakuto?

I’m glad the series hasn’t spent much time with Zangetsu and Ikkaku.

From the Opening it looks like they’re going to bring back Gin and Aizen.
I wonder … what kind of horrible character destroying plot twists will happen to them?
