Looks just beautiful with very fluid animation, great action scenes, and it has the most fabulous orchestral score! But the plot is ultimately hamstrung by its rabid anti-Americanism. Arkham, the sweet good guy killers vs. the Machine Corps, the “meanie” bad guy killers!

A re-used concept combined with strange gender issues done very enjoyably. Birdy is energetic and spunky; Tsutomu is stressed and depressed; together they’re hilarious.

A fairly typical Otomo story, a regular guy in a setting that appears odd. Throw in some scrappy robots and there you have it. It needed more "Oomph"

Let's try: Patlabor [first movie]

So-so. Decent character designs, but not much of a story. Very bland and
not very memorable.

9/10 The Story , Art and Music all came together for quite an entertaining show. Of course being a horror fan makes me quite biased.

Next up, Excel Saga

3/10 I bought the whole series after hearing a lot of good reviews. I started watching it, but I really couldn't get into it, I just found it hard to watch...don't think I even finished it. Shame really.

I loved the movie. The art style, the movement. The CB team was one of a kind. There's one of my fav anime scenes of all time in there...Where Spike chases Vincent onto the train...Yeah...The music too...OMG...Yoko Kanno...Marry Me!...LOL!

One of my favorite series ever. Great mix of emotion, humor, adventure
and of course, sheer cuteness.

Bloody shame how they butchered it for TV, though.

Haven't watched it all, but the thought of girls with guns is a bit dark. 6.5/10

5/10: Extremely over-rated. It's a decent movie, but not near one of the
anime greats that many make it out to be.
