I tried watching Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto, but amazing as it looked, I became so confused by the historical references I lost interest in it.

At the moment, I am downloading and regularly watching:

New Naruto! (yay!)
Red Garden
KIBA
Nana
Saiunkoku Monogatari
Nodame Cantabile
Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou (this one is still on trial)
Shounen Onmyouji

(I am also downloading but not watching yet a few other series, like Pumpkin Sissors.)

I also rent DVDs and that ones I have been watching include:

Kamichu
Kodacha
Kyo Kara Maoh
GunXSword
Zipang
Irresponsible Captain Tyler
Karas (eventually)

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Let's see...I did a marathon of the entire Honey & Clover II series this weekend and I'm currently following the following series:
Bleach
Busou Renkin
Chocotto Sister
Dai Mahou Tenge
D. Grayman
Fairy Musketeer Akazukin (Zukkyun!)
Gakuen Alice
Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight
Galaxy Angel Rune
Goldfish Warning
Happiness
Happy Seven
Hataraki Man
Himawari
Inukami
Koi Koi 7
Kyou no Go no Ni
Les Miserables
Love Get Chu
MAR
Nana
Naruto
Negima (the newer series)
Pumpkin Scissors
Saint October
Saiunkoku Monogatari
Simoun
Sumomomomomomomomomoomomomomo (or something like that)
Tonagura
Venus Versus Virus
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge

And I haven't actually started these, but plan to:
Jigoku Shoujo (second season)
Kanon
Mai Otome Zwei
Shuffle Memories

In addition, klet and I just finished rewatching the Nadesico series and started Chrono Crusade. With another friend, I just finished rewatching the first season of Slayers and started Gokudo.

So what do you think of it now? I kinda lost interest in it. I think the style they're using in the second series is a bit too weird for my taste. :P
Shuffle Memories
Have you watched the first Shuffle series? Because Shuffle Memories is only rerun material from it up to episode eight at least. The only new material you get from the second series are the Openings and Closings. The Opening songs being sung by different characters are a nice touch, but nothing else has been new yet. :(

I take it you didn't watch or like Pani Poni Dash? It's the exact same style. I like it a lot better than the first series. I'd still like a good faithful adaptation of the manga (which is pretty good), but I'm also enjoying the original storyline that this one is doing (except for the stupid magical animals).

Unfortunately, no. It wasn't quite my thing.

That's good to hear.

We were hoping that the small amount of new material that has been mentioned by spokespeople would debut in episode seven, but it didn't. Now we're hoping something newly animated (besides the OPs and CLs) will be shown at the very end in the final episode ?12. Who knows? It's been pretty disappointing watching it so far. :(

Random ramblings (I've been on vacation most of the past eleven days):

What episode does Bleach get back to the manga? Episode 109?
I seen screencaps from the last two episodes and they look so good that I thought I would watch some of the newer episodes.

Soukou no Strain 11-13 was kind of fun. Too bad the series is over.

Black Lagoon 23-24 - I sure wish they could make another season of it. That series was great fun and ROFL sometimes. It had some memorable characters in it.

Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori 10:
Was that a tiny Initial D parody in there or what? That was funny.
Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! 14-15 - love that hair. :D

Accelerando 1 - that postal delivery service was the best part.

S_____ wo A___ - wasn't quite as "out there" as I had heard. But that final scene reminded me slightly of the "Re-animator". :puzzled

Death Note 21 - It's getting more suspenseful again. So will the crap hit the fan next week?

Kanon 22 - Hmm...this reminded me a certain Wind ~ a Breath of Heart episode I seen more than two years ago.

Wind ~ a Breath of Heart ep 9.5, 10.4, 10.8 and 12.5 - Wah! What a coincidence. Said Wind episode appears English subbed for the first time several days after that Kanon episode. 8O

Negima!? 23 - Screencaps of this episode were too good to resist. I liked it, but that huge long pause between the action killed off the tension.

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora 9 - Really over-the-top, but I still liked it.

Venus Versus Virus 8 - It's FINALLY starting to get interesting.

Rocket Girls 2 - The humor and lightheartedness doesn't suit my taste.

Moonlight Mile 1 - The beginning part was like a sci-fi thriller, but the rest of it was mostly like workplace dialog. Good production values though.

No, not at all!! I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

And besides Bakumatsu, I'm regularly watching:

Deathnote
KIBA
NANA
Bleach
Naruto II
Saiunkoku Monogatari
Les Miserables

and in the category of "older shows I shoulda watched at the time but was distracted by classwork" : I'm currently whipping my way through Gensomaden Saiyuki.

I'm also watching, but kinda behind on, Jigoku Shoujou II

I really like the following so far (from first 1-2 episodes)
Murder Princess
Claymore
Hayate the Combat Butler
Tengan Toppa Gurren-Lagann
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS

Darker than Black has good potential as well.

I'm at least going to try the following out a bit more:
Heroic Age
Hitohira
Idolmaster Xenoglossia
Nagasarate Airantou

Tried it, but didn't like it:
Touka Gettan
Byoukou 5 cm Story

Ah...cool. I'll be sure to check it out every now and then.

People seem to fall into two categories with Murder Princess and Heroic Age. They either seem to like it for what was there or NOT like it because of what they thought was missing. It's funny.

From what I've seen so far from this season it doesn't appear that I'm going to be getting into this season as much as the September 2006 season (Kanon, Death Note, Black Lagoon 2nd season, Code Geass, Asatte, Soukou no Strain, La Corda, Otome wa Boku) or the April 2006 season (Zegapain, Higurashi, Black Lagoon 1st season, Ouran, School Rumble 2nd season, Suzumiya, Witchblade), but it's pretty early for me to be saying that isn't it? :wow:
