And now for the clue!

An old man is dying... but he wants to live forever. He has all the knowledge in the world and runs an european nation. In order to live forever he has created a cloning facility. Unfortunately some of the clones don't like the idea of being a container for the old man and has started taking over the world.

I would love that movie if it weren't for the one scene that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I always thought it would make a great AMV with the song "Major Tom".

Here's the next show:

Twin girls attend boarding school. Based on a series of books by a famous children's author.

I shouldn't choose such obscure series. Too late now. :) Here's a couple more hints. And I'll take the title in English if you think you know the book series and not the name of the anime.

At the beginning, the two girls absolutely don't want to go to the school, and do everything they can to make everyone around them as miserable as possible. Of course, they eventually get over their stubbornness, make friends, and start to enjoy school. The primary sport played at the school is lacrosse. The original author is best known in the UK, and probably better known by Europeans than by most people in the United States where the books haven't really been published, although her most famous character (from a different book series) stars in a show on PBS Sprout.
