"Media Blasters has solicited a complete DVD release of the 6 episodes of Master of Mosquiton for 2005-06-14. Mosquiton was previously released on VHS by ADV Films. Media Blaster's release will have an English dub on it, but at this time there is no information on whether it will be ADV's dub, or a new dub."
I'm so happy! I've been waiting quite sometime for a DVD release of this, my favorite anime series. My poor abused VHS tapes weren't going to last much longer!
Funny thing is, my boyfriend attended the ADV panel during Otakon of '04 and someone had asked when Master of Mosquiton would see a DVD release. Their reply was something along the lines of having 'legal issues' with Japan and that they were currently working to resolve them. Not sure what Media Blasters could do that ADV couldn't, or if it was just a bunch of bull... but I could care less about how it happens. Just as long as it does!
