Original DBZ and new Broly

Post by hyelakingsfan »

Have you guys seen this?

They are going to sell the original Dragonball Z's in the real uncut versions. The ones with the new japenese art, original blood, and language.

http://collinsent.com/product_info.php?products_id=708
This one also has some other information on it http://www.funfamilystore.com/Detail.bo ... =1&no=2756
So im guessing this is the original story that was airing in Japan with the not so soft Goku (as i heard)

Also, if you guys scroll to the bottom, you guys will see the new Broly movie....Broly - Second Coming.

Will they be subbed? I refuse to watch DBZ dubbed (shudder >.<) that and the evillllllllllllll GT.

However, Goku is pretty much a softie in the Japanese version too.

Yes, I think so.
All the Funimation DVD's have the Dub version, and original Japanese version, subtitled in English.

I am looking forward to these DVD's, check out the official websites:

I'm looking forward to it as well! I can't wait to watch the Saiyan saga again, uncut and unaltered. I wonder if they're going to change the music? I'll probably watch it dubbed, since that's the way I've always watched DB. You know, despide the way that the Saiyan saga was butchered in terms of translations/footage, I always thought the voiceacting and music were pretty good.

I guess for me it's because I watched in Japanese first -- mannnnnnnnny moons ago (cough cough *I'm olllld* cough) so when I heard the English voices they never ever sounded right to me @_@

I did like the music they used for the android saga though... (in the US dub).

But other than that, it just wasn't Trunks or Vegeta for me when dubbed.

(I'm a big fan of both of their Japanese voice actors)

The way I understand it, Bruce Faulconer will be doing the Dub music.
He also did the music for the Ginyu Saga, and all the rest of DBZ.

I also liked the first DBZ Dub, despite all the edits.
Those voice actors later returned to Dub the Trunks Saga and the rest of DBZ for Europe, and Canada.
That Dub is known as the Ocean Dub.
No one knows why they didn't Dub the Ginyu, Frieza, and Garlic Jr. Sagas though. :?

I myself don't have a favorite version of DBZ, I like both the Dubs and the Japanese version.
The only thing that I really don't like is Funimation's DBGT Dub, I have nothing against the voice-acting, but it has some of the worst music I have ever heard.

DBGT is evil. Plain and simple. :D

I refuse to recognize it as part of the real universe, instead I consider it an alternate universe (much like the movies are in an alternate universe).

Trunks was replaced by a pod person in DBGT @_@

Well, I have nothing against DBGT, it's just the Funimation dub that I don't like.

I do think that I am one of the few that likes DBGT as much as the original DB and DBZ though. :)
Yes, I even like Trunks in DBGT, he can be so funny! :D

I mean...just look at all the DBGT Cels that I have! :emb

Well, the Dub isn't that great, not as good the rest of DBZ in my opinion.
But it's worth it to have the episodes in three different versions (Japanese, English and Spanish) uncut. :)
