I was just wondering, is there any production art from excel saga out there? Were they all destroyed? Am I just really late in looking for art from it? I saw excel saga a long time ago, but I never really searched for the artwork. I was just wondering if there was any use in looking for them if they may have been destroyed.

Excel Saga was CG. I have not seen any sketches or genga released.

I think Nick (from AC) had two or three sketch sets, but he's probably already sold them by now. Other than that, I don't recall seeing sketches anywhere else.
I'll keep my eyes open for them for you. (Wouldn't mind have a sketch of Ilpalazzo myself. )

Slightly off-topic, but for his panel at A-X a couple of years back, he had
done some color (!) sketches beforehand and had a drawing for the five (iirc)
sketches after the panel. Unfortunately, I didn't win one But it was a cool
panel and I did get a pencilboard signed.
I bought my Excel sketches from a dealer/collector that bought them from Nick a lonngg time ago when AC was still around. But alas! They went on the 'bay long ago.
Yes there have been genga sets out there!
Mechi, Excel, and a few Illpalazzos.. but they are super hard to find
