Pretty cool huh?? Pudge got me started on it and now I'm up to episode 50 - It gets better once the Captains make their first appearance. I wonder when Beta will add a Bleach section? I think the 'Bleach Rollcall' post has like 412 entries.

I have only seen up to episode 7. I know I know, feel free to throw something sharp at me. On a brighter note, I haven't watched any Naruto since 152.

I've not seen any yet and I've been really wanting to get into it for a while now, so it'd be interesting to hear what you think...as Leah is a lil biased..

Well, I read the manga up to volume 7 (which covers more than the 11 eps. I've seen, so I can see the tiny differences in story. XD) and I was surprised that I really liked it!
I mean.. I'm usually pre-dispositioned to not like something when people RAVE over it.. (examples: Evangelion, Nadesico, Naruto... go on, throw bricks. XD) But after reading the manga, I was hooked. Heck, I came in on Volume 2 of the manga, with no idea what was going on, and I was STILL hooked. (I just got ahold of volume 1 last week.. need to get volumes 8&9 now... )

So yes, it is good stuff. If you don't know the premise of the story:

Ichigo Kurasaki is a 15 year old high schooler. Since early childhood he's been able to see ghosts. Lately they're showing up more and more often, and he can even touch them. Then one day, a strange girl dressed all in black and carrying a sword shows up in his bedroom. Surprised he can see her, she explains she is "Shinigami" (which, of course Gundam W fans know translates to God of Death.. but in this case is more like spiritual exorsist/warrior.) Then, a huge monster attacks! How will Ichigo protect his family from a monster only the shinigami can hurt? Become one himself, of course. And once you're in, you're in. So Ichi's got some work to do! .. Various ghosts, monsters, high schoolers, young children, birds, and stuffed toys add to the absurdity.

Ohhh thanks for that, I think I'll certainly have to get hold of it asap or at least the Manga, as it seems everyone is hooked on the show!

Congrats! I was skeptical too, until I read the manga from where I'd left off in the anime through the Soul Society arc. I still prefer the manga for better artwork and story flow, but I appreciate the anime more now.

Well, I'm up to episode 20.
We've now entered the "long ass power-up" made famous by DBZ,
as well as the "beat up bad-guys one at a time" ala Ruroni Kenshin.

Oh, and is it just me, or do all the end themes feature Rukia looking pensive? XD

Yeah, she goes from the strong female, to the weak willowy woman in the tower.

Don't watch them all too fast! Ya gotta savor this!

Well, at least the stuff before they get to the Soul Society, and some of the beat em up one at a time stuff.

Trust us, it gets better.

Besides, how could ANYTHING that resembles Kenshin be bad?
