What anime are you embarassed to admit you like?

Post by hyaku1 »

For me it's Hamtaro, I think. It's a little kids show! But the hamsters are so cu-ute with all the *scoochie scoochie* and *chu chu* LOL I can't get enough of it, I even have the giant stuffed toys.

So, what anime are you embarassed to admit that you can't get enough of? Come on, we won't laugh, much. :D

hahahaha.. amusingly enough I share yours... Hamtaro. :rollin It's so cute that it's almost downright disgusting. LOL! I have a hamtaro plushie myself. :P I'm not even sure its that I don't want to admit to watching it, but.... its just one of those animes that I used to love to sit and watch even tho its a kids show. heh. :D :P Oh well....

I love Binchou-tan. The story of a poor but happy little girl with charcoal tied to her over-sized head, that is too freakin' cute for her own good.

Give me time to think of something less embarassing so I'm not labeled a weirdo or a hentai. :)

I have two.

Dameko Doubutsu ... so incredibly cute, dumb as heck, and pokes fun at every anime cliche there is. A full 24 episode series at 5 minutes each, and a minute and a half of each is the opening theme :P

and...

Beet the Vandel Buster. (*blush*) :emb For which I have no good explanation, but which I have enjoyed thoroughly. And I usually hate young-boys-blowing-stuff-up-good shows, especially when their opponents are bad DBZ wannabes. Lordy it's embarrassing. I still love the dumb thing.

BoBoBo though I kinda hate to mention it here as so many people HATE it! I don't always like it, but I have enjoyed it on occasion, and I suspect I'd like it even better if I saw it in japanese with some of the localized humour explained. I like weirdness, what can I say?

I have yet to see hamtaro... sorta want to see it (it has to be good, it has hamsters as the main characters).

Hmm... guilty pleasure... you mean besides Piano? Hmm, no idea... Somday's Dreamers perhaps?

>_> Yeah I have no idea if those makes me embarassed.

Now I guess I have to admit I liked that one too! Even if you get confused abot the plot, you can just zone out and enjoy the quirky-cool character design!

I DID say I like weirdness! I might as well confess to Cromartie and Super Milk Chan too, now that I come to think of it.

Oh and I do like Digimon too, (except that 3rd season) Yugioh, and Hamtaro was fun when it was on too. Not really into the new Yugioh series, though. I like a huge variety of anime and I give almost every genre a chance, if it can be shown on TV (as in not really hentai).

For me it would have to be Blood+ and the reason for that is I absolutely HATED the movie and would make sure everyone knew it too when it came out. Next thing you know Im 18 episodes into the new TV series and glued to it.

Another one Im kind of embarassed about is Uninhabited Planet Survive, but mostly Im embarrassed because I keep hoping it gets licensed and that I would buy it (once they release it in an affordable box set)... I dunno though, its kinda about kid empowerment and now a few years old. Once they get a little age behind them, it seems like there's no hope for a domestic release.

I loved Pokemon when it first came out in the US. I even made sure to copy every new episode from TV to VHS. I bought the GB games and the first NGC game. Occasionally I still watch it if I happen to catch an episode airing. :D
