Does anyone know why the never dubbed the Sailor Stars series? Is it because the Starlights change from male to female?

I heard there was a lot of disputes between the american company who bought the rights, and the original japanese holders. So, the japanese company pretty much said that they're not giving anyone stars...But...We'll see what the future holds...

Yup, that's the reason I've heard as well.

Personally, I'm glad that Stars has yet to be officially dubbed. After the hack job done of the S and SuperS series, I really don't want my favorite season to be ruined.

Yeah, I heard that the American company was upset with the male/female changes in the starlights. They wanted to dumb everything down and of course you know we can't have bisexuals, homosexuals or anything that strays from the "norm". (That was written very sarcastically if you couldn't tell.

) Also, I don't think they cared for the "Uterus Attack".

Hack Job!?! I think that is putting it nicely. I hope they don't dub the Stars season, I don't think I could stand it to be ruined. Especially if Usagi had the same voice actor. Talk about annoying.

Besides all that, I am getting really good at reading subtitles so I don't need it in English.

If anything, a subbed only should be released like the 1st 2 seasons. I don't think a fan of ANY series should have to endure a poorly/crappy dubbed job of their favorite show. I remember reading the original plans for the dubbing. Something about Seiya being an "older sister" to Serena.

Stars is my second favorite SM season after S & I shudder to think of the voices for the starlights. I'm just glad any memories of the previous dubbing has faded away from memory...

the best way to view the stars is on subtitled dvd from ebay or the fan-sub done by the Sailor Moon Shop

I have enjoyed the 3 disk set they've got for purchase^^. I got those cute ESM gifs on my gallery's homepage from those disks. There's tons of info I never knew about the Series and ALL the music you ever wanted to listen to. It's keeping me entertained with making new banners and stuff^^.

Personally, I would find it hard to believe that the love interest between Sieya and Usagi is "sisterly". [I'm Keeping in mind that Usagi couldnt return his/her love though].

[the Stars is also my favorite season along with S too. ^_^]

My cousin has the series fansubbed in DVD format too, but I know she would buy the boxset in a heartbeat if it was officially released. Another of my concerns is the editing of the starlights transformations from man to woman.

They might make the Starlights distant cousins of Neptune and Uranus, and explain the close relationship like that

I'd be horrified if they messed with the Stars season. Best leave perfection untouched I think.
