Started watching Hikaru No Go & Kyo Kara Maoh!

Post by majinuub »

A friend of mine gave me some cd/dvd's for Hikaru No Go as well as Kyo Karu Maoh. I see why Sai is loved by many! I become a Sai fan by episode 2. I was also given CD version of the manga so I'll watch that when given the chance.

Kyo Karu Maru is my new favorite series! It only took the description of someone getting flushed down a toilet into a new world to win me over. So far I'm up to episode 13 and have plenty more the go. My favorite character is Wolfram(though you can't hate the rest of the main characters).

I have to tell my friend again a big thank you & from now on, my wallet hates her  .

totally - I NEVER would have thought that way but the scary thing is, you're kind of right. I guess one major difference is that Orochimaru methodically kills people to increase the understanding of Ninjutsu while Sai just 'kills' them on the Go board :crackup

Yah, all except that Orochimaru is a homocidal psychopath.

I recently started watching Kyo Kara Maou (several different spellings).

I'm up to episode 23 and am thoroughly enjoying this series.
The subtle one-lines are a crack-up and all the main characters have their quirks, though I haven't really found one for Conrad yet, but I'm sure it's there. Parts of the series are predictable at times and the Demon King's surmons before serving Justice get a little long, but it's not to the point of annoying. Wolfram is hilarous and the episode exposing Gwendal's stress relievers was great.
I know there are at least 69 episodes, so I hope I enjoy the rest and much I have the first portion.

As for the other comments on this thread, I never would have thought to compare Sai with Orochimaru. X| Anyway, HnG is one of my favorite series. Hope you have continued to enjoy it, majinuub.

Heh....considering you gave away so many spoilers about the show you may want to go back and edit your post using the spoiler option as many haven't gotten to those parts in HnG about Sai, RF. :emb As for Kyo Kara Mauo there are like 78 episode and you can only get up to 60something right now. It's so frustrating having to wait. I love that show. Even when it's serious there's still comedy to it. I haven't decided though which character I love most.....other than the obvious Bishie Maou choice. :drool :drool :drool I was wanting a rilezu from the show, but all the good ones are pretty much taken. I can't decide if I want those that are still shown at Cellar. :drool

It is a wonderful show so far I have only managed to get up to episode 69 and have been stuck trying to find the rest.
Most Bishies are eyecandy therefore they must all be attractive for the females. One Problem though Can we have MORE LEGAL eyecandy??

Oops... Sorry about the spoiler!

I just noticed another obscure Similarity!
Sai really looks like a girl to me... With the long flowing hair and red earrings. Sai would have made a really beautiful girl.

Orochimaru transforms into a girl during the fight with the 3rd Hokage!

I'm shocked HNG isn't airing in the US. From what I've seen this is a series that everyone can enjoy(as well as learn a new game). Who knows, it may be the next YuGiOh...
I think it's the characters that make KKM so much fun to watch. Some of the Relizus I want were taken :( . But I'm sure there are still some good ones left. I'm still up to the 1st season & have a long way to go. Seeing Yuuri wearing that maid costume with his red hair and Wolfram for some reason reminds me of Gravitation's Yuki and Suichi.

There are several scenes that remind me of Gravitation from this series...maybe that's another reason I like it so much! :)
