Kenshin Memorial

Post by Maiko »

I know a short while ago we were talking about the Kenshin Memorial disc that was a special found in the original Japanese collector Box Sets for the series. I finally got a rip of it to share with those that expressed interest ^_^x The entire thing is about 1 hour and 40 minutes long, and mostly consists of recap footage from the beginning of the series up until the end of the Kyoto arc. Since we've all seen that enough times, I just made jump cuts of all opening, closing, and all the bumpers inbetween that were the "new" animation.

The quality isn't perfect, as I worked from another rip someone else gave me, as I still have tons of unopened boxes from my recent move and can't find my disc, but still, it's better than nothing ^_^x Once I find my disc, I'll take the time to make a high quality rip.

The file is about 16-17 MB, an AVI file, and is encoded in XVID, and is approximately 5 minutes.

So anyway, thought I'd share with my fellow fans and friends ^_^x

*Oh yeah, no subtitles. Too time consuming at the moment- but the dialogue is pretty limited anyway, and I'm sure the majority of you can understand what they are saying, as it's mostly one another's names and etc. ^_~x

How exciting!! A snippet of Kenshin I've never seen before!!!

Here's what a foolish creature I am :) ... I was getting all misty watching this. I'm already in pre-mourning because the last volume of the manga comes out in a few weeks. No more extending the magic. *snivels miserably*

There's at least a couple of cels in there I'd easily give a limb for, how about you guys? :D

Here's the whole memorial. Unfortunately since it's streaming the quality isn't that great. I think I'd give a kidney for the scene where it shows Kenshin and Kaoru along with Kenji pulling Kenshin's hair. :D

That's actually very nice, from the OVA right? *sigh* if they'd ever sell it. I don't think I've ever seen a memorial cel for sale either. My friend tells me some of the cels get washed? I sure hope not for Rurouken...
