For me, it was the least interesting AX acquisition news that I've ever had. But of course it depends on what anime you like. I know convention announcements are not what they used to be because of oversaturation of anime right now. Also acquisition news now tends to be known sooner rather than held in until convention time. Congrats to everyone who likes the anime on that list.

The only anime I was really happy to see get picked up was Gunbuster. After that...well...Black Lagoon I liked too. Those Roberta episodes (ep 8-10) were funny and really cool. All the female characters on that show were really tough and I have no idea how many times I must have replayed that I've Sound Opening song:

Well Keropi I did talk to those at Geneon that they had already announced Fate/Stay/Night at an earlier con.

They announced it at Anime Expo 2005.

Ideally I was hoping for one of those run-out-of-the-house-with-my-arms-in-the-air-and-yelling kind of announcements like they did with Sentimental Journey (Anime Expo 2002), To Heart (Anime Expo 2004) or KimiNozo (Katsucon Feb 2006). \o/

But that's okay. You can only have that kind of fun once every year or two. Maybe KimiNozo broke the AX every-other-year pattern and now I'm forced to wait until 2008 for the next earth shattering anime announcement.
