Has any of you read the manga and watched the anime? are there major changes between both versions? are there any movies or tv specials available? I absolutely loved Trigun (and Vash

) but I would've loved it if the anime had more episodes.

And of course I also want to know more about the manga.

There's quite a few changes from the manga version, but I think that's
common in anime adaptations. One anime series, Kare Kano, was
verbatim the same as the manga and I found that boring. So apparently
changes from the source material are not such a bad thing after all.

In the Trigun manga, there's more characters and such, so if you enjoyed the
two season anime series, you should definitely read the comic.
