Bleach & Trinity Blood

Post by JWR »

Well tonight is the premier on Adult Swim of Bleach & Trinity Blood.

Are you going to watch?

Are you afraid to hear the English VA's take on the Characters?

I want to watch but dang.

Yes, I'm afraid to hear someone butcher Abel Nightroad... or Ichigo.

I just can't watch!!! :bawl: Just the little previews of Bleach they've been showing makes me want to run screaming from the room.

I have a friend who always bitches about having to "read" a TV show (he hates subtitles). I made him watch Bleach though, and he LOVED it. We were watching Adult Swim last night when the Bleach preview came on. I figured he'd be excited since I'm sure he missed a lot with the subtitles, but he just stared at the screen. Then he said, "Those guys sound like crap!"

So...yeah. A dyslexic guy who has to pause every thirty seconds to get the gyst of a show would rather do that than listen to the American voice actors. I can only imagine what they did to poor Abel!!!

I'm just waiting for subbied DVDs! :D

I'm excited, but I hope that they do a good dubbing job. I thought that Ichigo sounded okay. Has anyone ever seen Trinity Blood before? Is it good? I read the description and it sounds pretty cool.

Bleach is on in 2 hours and 7 minutes! :bny

PS: Birthday was last Saturday. Yay... 8)

Okay, Trinity Blood wasn't so bad. Except for Abel's HORRIBLE pseudo-British-can't-commit-to-an-accent.

*slinks off to watch Bleach and cringe*

God I'm such an addict. Thank goodness it'll be weeks before Ishida pops up. :P

Just finished watching Bleach! :D It was pretty good. I know that I have heard Ichigo's and Rukia's voices in other animes before. Does anyone know what ones?

PS: Who here likes Eureka 7? I love it! :D

hehe Yes, I know it's been a while. . . had to hop by. . .

The gist of it. . it could have been worse (bleach). I's just happy to see Ichi! :D weeee Not really fond of his voice. Needs to be. . . rougher. Other than that. . . they showed the opening (YAY!) And the dialogue was purdy darn spot-on for the subs I watched.

And sooo. . . I'll be watching next-week. :D

Ok Both are over.

on Trinity Blood I do think they did a good job. The only one that bugged me was the VA for the "Pope" who just over did the weak kid bit.

The VA for Able was ok and made a good switch between his dual personallities.

Bleach was another matter , Johnny Bosch seemed to do better than he was forced to do as Renton on Eureka 7 but seemed miscast as Ichigo. the only one I liked was Michelle Ruff as Rukia

on Trinity, didn't the VA for Abel also do Shigure or Ayame from Fruits Basket?
It sure sounded like it.

Trinity was pretty good; but on Bleach, I agree with JWR. They should have found someone else to do Ichigo.

No, Troy Baker who did Abel was not in Fruits Basket but did play Frank Archer on Full Metal Alchemist.
