What did you think about the Blood+ Ending (SPOILER)???

Post by Prince Vegeta »

I thought the ending was sort of cheesy....I think it might have been a better idea to just leave it after Episode 49 cause Eps 50 just made everything confusing for me.

Here's my question:

Why was Diva's chevalier still alive at the end of the episode when he was actually killed by Saya in eps 49????

Is this a hint that the whole story will repeat again with the two kids??? If that's the case then what happens to Saya??

I'm with you on that one. I actually sat here and said "WHAT?" out loud. Except...

Hmm I will need to go back and look at the end of the episode. He appeared to be killed, but did we actually see him crumble? There was so much going on... As with any good soap opera, the guy ain't dead till you see his burnt, mangulated, decrepit corpse AND can verify that it was him... and even then he may come back. :P

That's exactly what it is. :)
Saya will wake up again after 30 years or whatever her hibernation time is. After that... who knows? And of course we have the other set of twins in the oven, who will obviously take over the David and (?) roles ... (too early, non-functional brain).

It was definitely kind of cheesy, but it worked for me. It was SO satisfying to see Haji get a fist to the face. About time. I loved his character but he needed to stop being quite so much of a martyr. :D

I personally like how the series ends. I was sure Saya was going to continue living but i wanted her to say it loud, and that happens on ep 50, and even Hagi tells her to live.

The thing is, if she decides to live? then it's logic that hibernation for another 30 years is awaiting her..... but isn't that a very sad life? Something suggests me that the pourpouse of Chiropteran is just to reproduce and die after that, having the hibernation thing as an alternate measure if reproduction is not possible. Diva's blood losing potency after pregnancy is a hint towards this idea. Maybe after reproduction they wouldn't have to hibernate, but that's just an speculation..... Diva was killed before her hibernation time arrived.

About that Diva's chevalier "Nathan Mahler" aparition as a journalist, i personally believe it's a little joke from the staff. I wouldn't like to see any OVAs or spin-offs involving him or any other of the characters, the series is good as it is.

You didn't catch his comment towards the end? He may not have been Diva's
chevalier, after all...he may have been the chevalier of the mother of Diva/
Saya. If so, then Saya's blood wouldn't have worked on him and he'd be
able to regenerate from the sword cut.

I also don't think that we'll see the story repeat with the twins. The reason
why Diva turned out the way that she did was due to being treated like a lab
specimen. If the twins are both raised by Kai, they should turn out more like
Saya.

I'm surprised that we didn't see the end being a flashforward to Saya waking
up again and reuniting with Kai (looking a lot like their father).

Just before Saya goes into hibernation she's in the hospital bed getting a transfusion... and whatserface (sorry, nasty cold + no sleep... the female assistant who had a thing for David) comes over to check on Saya. "Want to feel them?" Saya nods and puts her hands on the small but obviously wiggling bulge. "I hope they'll get along with my kids."

So we have at least twins ("they") and given that the woman was obvously aiming for something a little more substantial with David, I'm surmising they're his. Future of Red Shield, in the oven.)
There was so much going on in the last couple of episodes that any number of details might have slipped by just about anyone. :)
