What are you currently watching?

Post by Goldknight »

i was wondering what shows y'all are currently keeping up with and enjoying? It helps give new ideas for me as well as others looking to try new stuff out there. Here's my list:

Naruto - Yes I'm watching the fillers in hopes that the new stuff will be on soon.

Saiunkoku Monogatari - I'm loving this show. Romance, Action, History, It has it all. Yummy guys. heehee.

Death Note - I don't know what I keep watching this twisted show, but it keeps drawing me in.

D-gray.man - I think Allen is just too cute

Ah My Goddess Season 2 - I'm having withdrawls since they stopped at episode 22 awhile ago and have yet to release the remaining 4 episodes.

Kyo Kara Maou - They finally started releasing the final 8 episodes so I'm all excited about finally seeing how it ends.

Tenjou Tenge - I finshied and totally enjoyed it.

Tsubasa Chronicles - Waiting for that final episode of season two to pop up.

Already a thread on this. Though, it's pretty much died in the last month.

Here's what I'm working on:
Ah My Goddess Season 2 (though, I'm behind about a dozen eps)
Asatte no Houkou - One of my favorites for this season.
Beet the Vandal Slayer Excellion - I finished up the first series, but haven't started on Excellion yet
Black Blood Brothers
Busou Renkin - Very derivative, but just enough humor to keep me going.
Chocotto Sister - This series skirts the line between cute and ecchi.
Crescent Love - Mediocre series with just enough laugh out loud moments that I keep watching it.
Dai Mahou Tenge - Very wrong, so I have to watch it :)
D. Gray man - Only watched the first one so far.
Deathnote - Lives up to the awesomeness of its source so far.
Gakuen Alice - wish the fansubs would finish up
Galaxy Angel Rune - Only seen the first so far.
Gift - Eternal Rainbow - Been really surprised by how much I've liked this.
Goldfish Warning - An oldie, but still funny.
Happiness
Happy Seven
Hataraki Man - Only see the first ep so far.
Hellsing OVA - much better than the original series
Himawari
Honey & Clover II - I really need to watch the second season.
Inukami
Jigoku Shoujo II - Finished the first season, but haven't started the second yet.
Kanon - Dl'ing this, but may wait until it's complete to marathon it. Loved the original.
Koi Koi 7 - fansubs have dried up for this :(
Kyou no Go no Ni - I describe it as a slightly ecchi Azumanga Daioh
Love Get Chu
MAR - Baakay's favorite show
Nana - Just did a long marathon of this to get caught up.
Negima - MUCH better than the first series. They've definitely deviated from the manga, but I find that interesting and can't see what's going to happen.
Pumpkin Scissors - only watched the first ep so far.
Renkin Sankyuu Magical Pokaan - Great setup and designs, but doesn't totally live up to its potential
Saiunkoku Monogatori - A show that I thought that I would hate, but love.
Simoun - Bit behind on this.
Sumomomo Momomo - Totally stupid.
Tonagura - Bit warped, so like it.
UFO Princess Valkyrie Season Four - I'm amazed it's gone this far
Wallflower - Not as good as the manga, but still decent.

Anime conversations tend to be shorter near the end of the season. :?

These shows have their hook in me for one good reason or another.

Black Lagoon - I'm really into this series now. It has some very amusing characters. The nuns, the maid, the blade thrower and chain saw woman had me rolling on the floor sometimes. :D

Death Note - cool imagery, good suspense and general evilness. :evilblk

Kanon (2006) - I think they're doing a good job at adapting the game. I think the character's story endings could be pretty powerful later on. KyoAni's version is including a lot more of Yuiichi's witty/snappy remarks from the game. Go Sayuri, Mai and Shiori!
:hello

Asatte no Houkou - I like their more realisitic take on the character's reactions. Everything moves at its own pace. So many cliffhanger-ish episode endings too.

La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~ - I think it's a little too obvious where it's going, but I like the music and the characters. There's also a bit of mystery and antcipation in it via situations that are a little like the ones in Hikaru no Go. I like the artwork.

Sokou no Strain - I didn't like the first two episodes, but now I'm wondering what's going to happen to Sara. There's a lot of mysteries about her situation and the other characters aren't aware of them yet.

Negima!? - I'm still finding it fairly enjoyable, but I don't have quite the same level of anticipation for this that I do for the others.

School has got me waaay too busy this semester. Plus until recently I was unemployed and therefore unable to buy any new seasons. Maybe X-mas break...

Well I went back to watching old shows... Mostly to get episode IDs, figure out what I want and stuff... Cooking Master Boy anyone? *grin*

For the newer one's I tried basilisk but lost interest on that one... tried Gintama but I'm not sure if I'll watch it through and through just for the Shinsengumi influence... tried Kyo Kara Maou which I thoroughly enjoyed... Just now to get the rest of the episodes... Deathnote is turning out to be interesting.... But not enough time between everything else... :x

I knew there was a thread somewhere like this, but was too lazy to find it and figured the lists may have changed more recently. :emb :emb I also finished Ouran Host Club fairly recently and totally loved it.

Right now, I'm watching Pretear in Japanese. I watched it in English dub first and didn't much care for it. I'm still working on my InuYasha episodes as well. Yippee!

Lupin (first season). I hope that once I finish the season I then can finish off Masion Ikkoku (box sets 7 and 8 ) however still waiting on getting some money so i can order box set 8. Followed by Slam dunk. After Slam dunk I hope to watch Ranma 1/2 season 3.

I like to plan a bit ahead :D

Currently, I am really busy with school however once Dec 10th.. I am talking massive anime time. Chances are i wont beat my record of watching over 100 hours in a week but rest assured i will come close 8)

Is saimono yaoi?

Kanon ftw! I really love this version, not only because the characters are less two dimentional but also because they art style isn't as etreme. Their eyes no longer look like they're trying to swallow their faces. XD

We're re-watching SHUFFLE!, which in my humble opinion is another of the best freaking dating sim-to-anime series out there.

Zero no Tsukaima is interesting. The first couple of episodes in however, Cam and I spent more time arguing over the potential problems of the way the show's society is laid out then actually watching it. XP

Saiunkoku Monogatori isn't yaoi. It's pretty much a reverse-harem show
where all the bishies are in love with the main female....sort of like Fushigi
Yugi.

..without the main herione being so annoying. :D

I'm currently watching Saiunkoku Monogatori, Kyou Kara Maou, Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, and Magic Knight Rayearth. I need to finish watching Inu Yasha, and catch up on my Death Note dls (yes, I'm already behind). Good thing it's a holiday weekend. 8)
