Another Street Fighter Movie!!

Post by hyelakingsfan »

I was surfing the net and found out that there is going to be another Street Fighter movie (not animation). But it is going to come out in 2008 (their 20th year anniversary) They also said that there might be a tv series and obviously a 20th anniversary video game. Even though it more than a year away, im already getting hyped up for this. :dban (havent used that in a while)

I heard about this. Now that movie special effects are up to snuff, it's time to re-do Street Fighter. The first one was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek prequel but no one wanted that. No one got it or liked it for that reason. I found it pretty amusing, it wasn't meant to be serious.

I'm curious about the new movie. Hadn't heard about the TV series and other stuff tho, very interesting!

What? Capcom, milk a game franchise? NEVER! :crackup

I dunno, with the current trends, realism wont work. Its got to be wire action and CG.

You are right, the SF2 movie, esp the last fight is nice. But Alpha seems to be the more popular one.

But that is modern day realism, duh. :P

The animated SF movie was better than Alpha, in terms of story and frame rate. Hence why you rarely even see SF cels but you can find Alpha cels all too easily. I think Alpha has its own charms but the movie was more concise and interesting. Not to mention the detailed character designs, I wish more video game properties received that sort of treatment in adaptation.

f* modern day realism.

Alpha cels are easier to find because one dealer had them all. He sells them in his shop, he sells them privately, sells them at cons, and then sells them to Mandarake. A few years ago, a few collectors bought them all up though, esp the OP.
