Karin licenced

Post by JWR »

I read today that Karin (magna "chibi vampire") was announced by Geneon with a street date of 05/15/2007 .

Well that's good to hear. It's a 24-episode series too.

It somewhat surprises me.

That's too bad that Geneon got it.

Geneon has been Outsourcing to Singapore for English dubs lately.
Does that make any sense to anyone out there? It doesn't to me.

On behalf of the people I know who no longer have an employer in the US, I won't be buying anything that they have dubbed in another country.

EDIT: oops my bad wrong location

I hope they don't call it chibi vampire!
No they are using the correct series title Karin

I'm told that Tokyopop who is publishing the manga changed the title to avoid confusion with another title Kamichama Karin

Something I'll definitely have to pick up in the future.

But...being licensed is so embarassing.

But what?

Geneon had Zipang done in Singapore, and ANN has no data at all on the recording studio used or the VAs.
Which makes me think that Karin is getting the same treatment, because with a release date of May, there should be more information out there, if it were being made in America.
