"Like the wind crying endlessly through the universe, Time carries away the names and the deeds of conquerors and commoners alike. And all that we are, all that remains, is in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment." Harlan Ellison

*Cough* bullshit *Cough*Manga is one of the three major distributors of anime in the U.S. and a division of Starz Media.
They have one big money maker and that is GITS.
The only other new shows they have is Tactics and Noein (and Karas, but lets not get into how they've screwed that release).
Other than that, they just coast along on old movie titles.
[sarcasm]Oh yeah, they're one of the top 3 alright. [/sarcasm]
I wonder who are supposed to be the other 2. I can think of 4 that I would say are much higher on the list than Manga.
But, Yay, anime on the sci-fi channel. I can dig it.

Same here! Gosh, I think this was back in like 1996 or something? It was a long time ago, but every Saturday morning they would show an anime film. I remember watching:crackpot27 wrote:That's good news, I vaguely remember a while back where they would show the anime movies from time to time (saw Akira for the first time on Sci Fi), so it's good to see it coming back
Akira
E.Y.E.S. of Mars (Mother: Saigo no Shoujo Eve)
Tenchi Muyo In Love
Project AKO
L.I.L.Y. Cat
Vampire Hunter D
Demon City Shinjuku
Green Legend Ran
Venus War
And a few other titles that I didn't sit through; either I didn't have the time before work to watch them entirely, or they just didn't appeal to me. Even though now I refuse to watch anime dubbed, this was actually how I got "into" anime - unless you count watching Unico and Kimba the White Lion when I was three.

Anyway, hopefully I can catch some of the new titles they'll be showing!

Those who forget the mistakes of the past. . .

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Me too! I remember watching anime on the Sci-Fi channel and Bravo when no one else would hardly show it. Bravo even had censored versions of adult anime, like Wicked City.keeper wrote:Same here! I'm so glad to hear this too! I watched Tenchi Muyo for the first time on this channel when they showed "Tenchi Muyo in Love" which of course got me into the anime and remains to be one of my favorite anime movies of all time. Not to mention the only TM cels I have are of Archika because I LOVE her!

My cat Temperance I call her Tempe for short.

My cat Seeley is a Sailor Moon fan, too!
I didn't anticipate on having a black female cat and a white male cat or I would have named them Luna and Artemis... oh well.
