Punishment on Naruto

Post by duotrouble »

Okay, so this has been bugging me for a while. And a quick warning for the lurkers, if you haven't seen up to the fillers of Naruto, don't read any further. Spoiler boxes should only be used for Shippuuden references since I haven't seen those yet.

So what kind of punishment is Sasuke facing if the Leaf Village ever brings him back? Has he actually done anything wrong other than beat the snot out of Naruto?

Also, what about Itachi? He did kill off almost his entire clan. I'm sure there's a harsh penalty for that. Has it be mentioned what would happened if he was caught?

You know, I have no idea what hidden villages due with rouge ninja.

I would imagine in Itachi's case he would be put to death (if they could), because of his inhalation of the Uchiha clan.

Sasuke however has done nothing more than beat the crap out of Naruto as you stated, but joined up with Orochimaru, a wanted missing S-class ninja.
He even "killed" Orchimaru, so now its more of them trying to just hunt him down to make sure he's not a serve threat. He challenged Naruto again, but it didn't get anywhere, so all the cautions would on Naruto, not the Leaf Village
Just my thoughts. 8)

I agree about Itachi. He's a wanted S-class and I think from the way they've spoken that death would be the sentence...if not life. As for Sasuke I haven't heard of any punishment. They merely want to bring him home. He's done nothing wrong. If anything he's a hero in shippuuden these days.

I'm not too good with negative counterfactuals.

You know, it was that filler episode where they showed the Leaf Village's prison that got me thinking about it. There is also that episode with Zabuza that they talk about rouge ninjas needing to have their bodies eliminated so no secrets get revealed.

I'm with you guys though. I think Itachi is wanted dead or alive with the emphasis on dead. If they catch him alive, I think they'll probably kill him. But since Sasuke joined Orochimaru, a wanted criminal, I didn't know if that put Sasuke on some list other than the obvious - he's just a stupid kid bent on revenge.

*Sorry, Sasuke, sweetie.*

/hmm "Joined" probably wouldn't exactly be the best word to describe Sasuke's relationship with Orochimaru; each of them has made it clear from the start that he wants to use the other toward his own ends.
Read the manga. Really. ;)
Honestly, instead of wasting so much time trying to drag Sasuke back by force, it would be far more pragmatic for the Leaf Village to just leave him alone and let him deal with Itachi's eventual... castigation.

^True, true. Wasting man power on dragging the poor kid back. Why not let him train, and maybe he could get rid of the ex-leaf ninja that is also their enemy. What can they loose? Only Sasuke if he gets killed along the way
What can they do to him? They are not his parents, they should focus on taking care of the village first...they have enough problems to worry about...
