GetBackers question

[Prince Vegeta]

I've just recently bought a few DVD's from this series but there just doesn't seem to be any blood shown at all.

In the first episode, one of the main two characters get shot in the head....the hole is shown but no blood comes out.

Is this how the anime was created or did I just get stuck with some edited versions.

I can't find other versions anywhere that show the blood either.
