What shows would you recommend for a 13 year old boy???

Post by Goldknight »

My godson is looking for new anime to watch. He's watched DBZ, he's watching Naruto and One Piece, he reads the Trigun manga. I've had him try Bleach and FMA, but he didn't care for those. I was wondering what might be good for him to try. He's turning 13 in a month to give you an idea of his age group.

Yes I always have to ask what he or she would recommend.

1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

LOL Ralphy! I probably didn't need to ask. :emb I forgot to add that he's already been through the Pokemon phase when he was younger.

Umm...You could try Yu-Gi-Oh, Yu Yu Hakusho, and possibly InuYasha?

EDIT: Maybe Slayers too? But there is some adult humor in there...

Those are good recommendations...I'd also add Rurouni Kenshin-TV series (not the OVAs :emb ), Flame of Recca, and Hikaru no Go...

I'm shocked that he didn't enjoy FMA...but in any case like Irmgaard mentioned you can't go wrong with the Rurouni Kenshin TV series.

Dragonball in all its incarnations would probably be fine.

Does he only care for dubbed anime or is he willing to watch subbed? When My brother was younger I tried to show him subbed anime but be quickly became bored with reading the subtitles and it was hard for him to keep up since they sometimes move by quickly. At that time he was in his late teens.

Other than what has been mentioned, I'm clueless as to what to recommend. Sorry. :shrug

For a 13 year old boy I would consider a few like these.

Blue Seed

RahXephon

Stellvia

Evangelion

Serial Experiments Lain
