1. Romance - Nodame Cantabile (Why isn’t this licensed? Why can’t I buy this??!! :x )

2. Comedy - Shinesman

3. Action - Rurouni Kenshin and/or BLEACH

4. Sci Fi - Roujin Z

5. Fantasy - Night on the Galactic Railroad

6. Horror - Bake Neko/Mononoke (Same problem as Nodame! Now I have to feel bad whenever I look at Mononoke, or mention it to friends! :? )

7. Magical - Slayers

8. Slice of Life - Patlabor (could be action, sci-fi, comedy….but I like the ordinary human characteristics of the cast and the “mundaneâ€

Romance - I dont watch many of them but the closest thing would be the Kenshin OVAs

Comedy - Golden Boy

Action - Currently Bleach, but also Naruto, InuYasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Kenshin

Sci Fi - Dragonball Z

Fantasy - Avatar The Last Airbender

Horror - Gungrave

Magical - Fullmetal Alchemist

Slice of Life - Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple ?

Sad - Kenshin third OVA

Movie - Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust

1. Romance - Ah! My Goddess

2. Comedy - Tenchi Muyo

3. Action - Gundam Wing / Gundam 00

4. Sci Fi - Ghost In The Shell SAC

5. Fantasy - Yu Yu Hakusho

6. Horror - Vampire Hunter D

7. Magical - Fullmetal Alchemist

8. Slice of Life - I don't tend to watch these types of shows, so...

9. Sad - Wolf's Rain

10. Movie - x/1999

Slice of life means a story that is somewhat realistic and seems to follow a character or set of characters thru a set period of time. Basicly ones you can see having a chance of actually occuring in real life.

I agree on Robot Carnival. It is a hidden gem. That's the type of movie that I would like to see at a film festival or anime convention because only certain types of people would enjoy it, but hardcore fans would like it. It reminds me a bit of rozen maiden at times.

I'm a little late, but it might start this thread again. Some of my choices cross categories.

1. Romance - Gravitation and Vampire Knight

2. Comedy - Yakitate Japan

3. Action - Inuyasha and Kenshin

4. Sci Fi - Jyu Oh Sei

5. Fantasy - Shounen Onmyouji

6. Horror - Ghost Hunt (don't watch too many)

7. Magical - Fullmetal Alchemist

8. Slice of Life - Nana.

9. Sad - several, I'll say Clannad (mainly After Story) and Kenshin ending OVA

10. Movie - Howl's Moving Castle

Other categories I would have liked is sports (Hikaru no Go and Prince of Tennis)
