Anyone have a favorite that they've seen?

Re: Favorite OP/ED of 2011
Lots of good songs there.
Though with the Deadman Wonderland OP and Gosick 1st ED I have a very difficult time listening to those songs only one time. I have to keep playing them a few times before I can stop.
I forgot about the Madoka ED. That was a strange music video by the singer. The music was a dramatic way to end the episodes.
Did anyone see the video of the Dragon Crisis OP of Yui Horie doing all those kicks?
The Sacred Seven OP was interesting because the switched places with the OP and ED at the end of the show.
Kamisama Dolls OP was interesting to look at because the moving frames they used. Sounds like they intentionally messed up the sound to avoid erasure:

Re: Favorite OP/ED of 2011
Yeah, you bet, but it was a little lame that if you look carefully, at the beggining of the video she is wearing high heels and right before she starts doing all those kicks they change for a moment to a snother plane and when they go back to her she is weaing some flat boots more suited to the scene.... I wonder if i'm the only one who noticedKeropi wrote: Did anyone see the video of the Dragon Crisis OP of Yui Horie doing all those kicks?

Hmm...well I for one didn't notice that.
Guess it would hurt pretty bad getting kicked with high heels to the face.

Hmmm I forgot all about the animation in the OP. As you can see I placed my favorites based on the song alone.
Let's see... OPs that I remember watching often are:
Fractale lol, it's hypnotizing
Steins;Gate
Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai II
Deadman Wonderland
Kamisama Dolls
Blood-C
Fate/Zero
Mirai Nikki

I too liked the Deadman Wonderland OP and ED, especially the "Shiny, Shiny" ending showcasing
the happy lives all our protagonists lost. Other 2011 OP/EDs I enjoyed include:
Level E (OP)

Mazinkaiser SKL (OP) -This 3-part OVA is missing from the fansub list of Winter 2010/2011.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5o0KaXDlzY
Hyouge Mono (OP-1)

Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera (OP)

Oh yeah, the Hyouge Mono opening was quite different. There was that contrast between the style of music they used and what you saw on the screen. It's too bad they changed the song so quickly, but that was because of the music group having its problems.
The Dororon Enma-kun Meeramera OP was a pretty old school song.
It seemed like that would have been the original series opening, but that doesn't seem to be the case from checking ANN. Maybe it came from somewhere else in the first series? I hadn't heard that OP before. It'd be cool if they wrote the song only for remake's sake.

Oh, that reminds me I forgot about the Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Opening. It's a strange video montage, but that's SHAFT's style for you:

I can't forget those Japanese fans that came together over the internet to make the cover of it:

I didn’t see that show.Keropi wrote:Oh, that reminds me I forgot about the Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Opening ...
But, for some reason, seeing that little house and the deer heads on the walls just made me think of “Evil Dead 2”.
But, yeah, I really thought the combination of the smooth music and the battle scenes of the Sengoku Jidai in Hyouge Mono’s OP was unique. Yet, I think it went well with, and put you in the mood for, the dichotomy of the show’s protagonist as both an aesthete and a warrior.
I don’t think the new Dororon Enma-kun OP song is from the original series. It’s by Masaaki Endoh. He would have been about six years old in 1973, when the original first aired on TV. He’s part of JAM Project, which did retro style OPs for other Go Nagai redux anime.

That's pretty neat. So they specialize in writing older style songs?I don’t think the new Dororon Enma-kun OP song is from the original series. It’s by Masaaki Endoh.
