This sucks for a couple of the shows like Gosick & Nichijo I was planning on picking up the Bluray discs for. Hopefully another company will pick them up.

As others have mentioned on ANN, it's clear that the Japanese could care less about the American market. The simple fact that most anime fans are not willing to pay Japanese-style prices for DVD releases means that we're not worth the time/money to air anime here.

I liked in the article that Bandai mentioned that the Japanese were happy with the way Gundam UC did in the US (each episode was around $50). I doubt most fans would pony up $50 for an episode of most anime...

That's too bad. I'm sorry to hear that.

I didn't even know Code Geass Renya manga was scheduled to come out from them too.
