I knew this last episode would be tough, but damn! I couldn't stop crying.

It still got to me.

its been ages and forever since i actually watched the anime

curious to know where abouts they're at now,

It was the episode showing his birth and how his parents died protecting him. Then his Mom disappearing from his mind after thanking him for being her son.
