At quick glance the continuation of GATE seems to bee the only one to catch my interest so far

Yeah, Gate should be interesting. It'll be nice once it gets past the part of the manga that I read so that I won't know what's happening. I wonder if they'll stick in that funny scene from later in the novel, but I don't think they'll get that far.

I'll have to check out that Overlord Special. I have a feeling that since it's only one episode that it'll be a comedic and/or fanservice episode like a lot of specials. I hope I'm wrong. I'm still enjoying the novels. Novel eight wasn't as interesting, but the ninth novel picked up my interest again.

I notice that the gamer-world stories are rolling out with their adaptions. I read some of the Koko Subarashii manga. That was a COMEDIC transported-to-another-world story. I thought it was okay. I might watch that. Fortunately that Grimgar story is not the novel I was thinking of. I don't think I've even heard of Grimgar. There isn't much discussion on it. I might watch that.

I look forward to seeing THIS Bahamut anime. It's got the you-seen-me-undressed-and-now-I-want-to-duel-you cliche, but the main character's story sounded interesting from what I read of the discussion on it. The manga hasn't come close to reaching the main part of the story and I don't expect the anime to deal with it either. These novel adaptions require a lot of episodes to develop their stories properly. But even if the anime is going to feel like a lot of other battle school anime, I'm going to watch it. I feel a bit sympathetic with Bahamut's main character after learning about his background circumstances.

Oh...Boku dake ga Inai Machi. I've heard of that one. I think that was a manga that I never read. That might be interesting. These days I tend to stay away from anime that are a little too serious for me, but the time travel aspect of it might get me watch it. Just once I'd like to see a main character go back in time to being a kid and still maintain their mature attitude.

It seems like a decent enough Winter season for me. I'll have to check the shows out and hear what people are saying about them ahead of time before I decide what to sit down and watch.

Has anyone noticed that the end of the Ooyasan wa Shishunki Opening has a design that's very similar to the Maison Ikkoku first Opening?

Maison Ikkoku first Opening with white Japanese lettering and background design (at the beginning):

Ooyasan wa Shishunki Opening with white Japanese lettering and background (near the end):

I thought that was neat.
