I'm very interested in purchasing the entire Cardcaptor Sakura series, but I see oodles of different releases on amazon. Which release is the definitive, uncut version? Naturally, I'd love to invest in the Blu-ray, but the price...

If you can find it, I'd recommend the Pioneer version that was released several years ago and is long out of print. You might be able to find it on E-bay. This version is sub only, includes the Japanese DVD cover artwork and does not use the annoying spelling of Xiaoliang for Syaoran. That's my major complaint regarding the Blu-Ray version; The new subs always call him Xiaoliang because they claim that that is the correct spelling of his name in Chinese. Dunno, I'm a finicky person and I want my Syaoran to remain Syaoran.
