What is your favorite Show?

Post by king_tonberry »

I'm trying to expand my anime.
So which ones should I watch?
I like action, not really in to the love stuff.
But I want to know what you think.
So which ones? :D I would perfer shows that
have been dubbed in english.
But if they are the greatest thing ever I might watch them. :P
Thanks for your time!

I think it would help a lot if you told us what you've already seen. :D

Don't want to go all "been there, seen that". X|

Hmm... a show dubbed into english (I'll see if I can make a list of some good/decent/fun ones I've encountered)

King of Bandit Jing
Noir
Inuyasha
Cowboy Bebop
Angelic Layer
Chobits

... mmm... I'm not sure which of those you've seen (if any at all) but maybe that'll give you an idea ^_^ they're all fairly good, though chobits is a bit fluffy, angelic layer is classified as shounen but I found it girly sometimes (but still good!), Inuyasha has it's lovey-dovey moments.

Hope you find something!

Yu Yu Hakusho not much romance lots of fighting

Rurouni Kenshin little romance some light moments and some great sword fights

Trigun some light moments, some great gunfights, no romance.

That's all I can think of for now.

X| Sorry!
I didn't think about saying what anime I have watched.
My bad!
I have watched the Dragonball series, Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust, Some Gundam Wing, and Outlaw Star.
Also if you know a good place to by them that would help a bunch.
I've just been looking on ebay.
Thanks!

Blech! Dubs don't even compare to the original. Once you've watched subs for a while, its really not much effort to read as you watch ... but thats my opinion. ^^;

The only thing (literally) that I can stand to watch dubbed would be Inuyasha. :? It's not great, but much more tolerable than anything else I've seen.

Now, I could name a whole slew of other stuff if you were willing to watch subs.. :?

Hmmm... didn't we just do this a bit ago?

Anyways, to reiterate....

Blue Gender (mostly action, but some touchy-feely scenes)

Rurouni Kenshin

Yu Yu Hakusho

Inuyasha

All are dubbed in English fairly well, have excellent story lines and have lots and lots and lots of action.

I'd strongly recommend Cowboy Bebop. That series was the best dub job I've ever heard. :)
Plus, Spike is just too cool. 8)

samurai's that is :P But it really is pretty good
and its a shorter series like OLS, if that's a good thing
or not. X| I've been picking up the dubbed disc's of it at
suncoast as they been coming out.....

Rurouni Kenshin (Lots of action, beautiful character designs)

Chobits (Seriously had me rolling on the floor laughing at some scenes)

Yu Yu Hakusho (Great story, lots of action...need I say more? :P)

Not only yours...I so totally agree with you :)

I once downloaded an English dubbed episode of Ranma by mistake and I could not stand it! Those voices were so irritating!! :x

So I´m not much help here either

I'd have to go with...

Hellsing ... you gotta see this... Alucard rocks!!! :D He's like if D from Vampire Hunter D went totally freaking psycho. Crispin Freeman does an excellent voice over for Alucard too. It's not for the easily offended though.
