Who plays Halo 2 in this forum? and if so whats your nametag and whats your highest level

Since midterms are all this week, I doubt I'll be on until the weekend. My favorite multiplayer game on Halo 2 is probably skirmish. Fun stuff.

i got up to level 14 then dropped back to level 13. I play team slayer alot and they keep putting me with people who dont play good or just quit and leave my team a man or two down. ARG!! that pisses me off

Okay, I gotta know when Halo 3 is coming out!! I just let my boys play all stinkin' day so they could finish Halo 2 to the end, only because I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next as they went along! I folded 4 loads of clothes and ironed about a dozen shirts, just so I didn't feel like a complete lazy bum sitting on the couch watching them shoot stuff! And DOGGONE IT, they left me hanging at the end!! I didn't realize it was such an ongoing storyline! AAAAAACK! I need to find out what happens! When is the next part going to be available??

Hopefully a little sooner than Halo 2 followed Halo 1.
I didn't even know there was a storyline to it.

From what I get to see here in Belgium, they always made it look like Halo was first and foremost an online shooting game. And since it's exclusively on the X-box, I haven't played a single second yet.

That's currently true for Halo 2, but Halo 1 is for the PC.

My boys got hooked on Halo at their "big boy" cousins' house. (I wasn't actually sure I was thrilled when I found out that was why they kept running over there to play at their house! Since mine are young, I am still rather picky about what they watch/play.) Then my nextdoor neighbor actually got my eldest an XBox with a brandspankin'new copy of Halo 2 for his birthday because he had told her that he enjoyed playing it and couldn't play at home cuz the poor poor kid didn't have an X Box!

(Everyone should be so lucky to have a neighbor like my nextdoor neighbor.)

Well, yesterday, we had a whole day to do nothing, and the boys asked me if I wanted to challenge them at Halo. So, not being one to back down from a challenge, I picked up on of those odd XBox controllers and gave it a whirl. First problem: I've always played PS2, so I was running into walls and always looking into the air instead of shooting the aliens who kept swarming me! HA! I was AWFUL! So after not long, I handed my controller to Liam and he took over while I watched... and since they had started at the beginning again so I could see it, I got to see the whole story unfold... and the combination of the awesome mech-like armored guys and interesting story of the Halos and the aliens vs. the humans really sucked me in! Yes, there is a storyline... and at the very end, a couple characters are left hanging in peril and you don't know if the whole universe is going to explode, or just parts where your people are, or what! And I want to see what the Master Chief looks like under that cool armor!! And I want to know what happens to the computer woman that got left behind to detonate the ring! And I want to know if they have a lasting friendship with that awesome alien! AAAAAAAAA! I WANNA KNOW STUFF!! Please let me down gently when you tell me, how long did it take for them to get Halo 2 out after releasing Halo 1???

Then you stumbled across the 'net and found the infamous (actually famous, just like saying that word) site called "Red vs. Blue" and the world of Halo was never the same again. I used to d/l every episode religiously but gave up after a while since my bandwidth is better served by anime and gaming.

Check it out, really funny stuff but not game story related (much). I would say it is R (on the edge of PG-13) or 18+ though.

Uhm... I've always been told Halo 2 got postponed a few times too many so the time may be different this time. (Gentle enough ?

I did some digging around and found out Halo was released on the 15th of November 2001. http://www.bungie.net/Inside/CustomPage ... ain&page=6

Halo 2 got released... uhm.... three years later... on november 9th 2004.

But as I said, I was told it got postponed several times.

Rats. The link said Bill Gates hisself said it would be released in june 2006... but we all know that the owner of the company doesn't really know squat about the actual production and release of his products!

So heaven only knows when I shall find the answers to my many questions.... or if I will still even care about the answers once the next part is released!
