Dragon Quest V

Post by kittens »

In the last year when we were in Japan (it was last March) Dragon Quest V (Dragon Warrior in the US) was released and my hubby and I really really want to play with this game......

Soooooooooooooooooooo we are thinking buying software for PS2. BUT I am not sure that I can play with my PS2 (that is the US version....).

Does someone know if we can pay Japanese game with US version PS2?

Many thanks /thx /thx /thx

Unfortunately you cannot play Japanese games in a US Playstation 2 without using some way to bypass the region checking (ie. opening it up and hard wiring an electronic chip that does just that).

So it can be done, just not for users that aren't familiar with chip soldering.

Its a shame too.. There are a few Japanese PS2 games I know I wouldn't mind playing (Naruto Narultimate Hero + FMA Dream Carnival). :?

Even more reason to buy a Japanese PS2 while you are there. =D I'm still hoping they will bring it out here in the USA someday... maybe... But then again, they're too busy bringing over the newer games. Like Full Metal Panic 2. ^_^

Yeah... which is why I like how the Nintendo GBAs can play any cartridge (US or Japan).

I like good mah jong (HK or Japan rules) games, and they only come out in Japan. Ones we get are stupid "match the tile" games. Also Go... wish there was one for the US PS2 or something.

My problem is that I can't read Japanese fluently yet... so getting RPGs are a bit of a problem. >.< Even though I have some already.

A long time ago, my mom was completely addicted to mah jong games :P :P She stopped cooking and everything so everyone tried to discourage her from the nintendo :P :P

Yeah they are fun to play with :D

There are alot more games here but the Prices!!! I have been living here for 5 1/2 years and often get to see the greatest games here first.

Lucky for me Hubby does repair on game systems so we see alot of interesting mod chips!
Most Bishies are eyecandy therefore they must all be attractive for the females. One Problem though Can we have MORE LEGAL eyecandy??

I'm sorry to hear that.
