Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots at E3!

I'm a HUGE MGS fan! The thing I was looking forward to the most
was Konami's presentation of the new MGS4 trailer. It reveals more of
the graphics, plot line and you'll see several familiar faces. I'm soooo
totally psyched! I can't wait to play this game!!! EEEE!

Sony announced the PS3 console will be $499 for the 20 Gig version and
$599 for the 60 Gig. They also revealed a copy-cat-esque controller that
is obviously modeled after Nintendo's unique Wii-mote (yes, that's right... it's
no longer called the Revolution. It's called the Wii).

I'm sadly obsessed with Metal Gear and Kojima. I own the games, DVDs,
artbooks, toys... here's a picture of my baby from Medicom.

Anyway.... anyone else excited about this game?

You and your Metal Gear. So cute. Doubt this will be the last installment. Kojima says so, but money talks. It's not like death means anything in these games. Can't wait for PS3 to launch. Kind of funny they copied Nintendo's controller. Looking forward to Nintendo's press announcements tomorrow at E3, what do they have in store for us I wonder.

Well, Konami's website was swamped with traffic so it crashed and
the 15 minute trailer was pushed back a day. Finally found it tho.

Poor snake! Dude...Raiden looked BAD A$$!!!!!

God I know, right?! Otacon looks so sexy

I feel so bad for Snake. But ya know, they can always clone him if a sequel
hangs in the balance. No one ever stays dead in these games.

It's odd to see Naomi Hunter actually IN the game!

Kojima said, "By the end of it, you will really like Raiden."

He looks amazing! I love him already! I'm surprised how deep his
voice is in the Japanese version tho. Granted he's a different person now.
Makes me wonder what the US voice actor will sound like....?

I sincerely hope they continue to make these games, and even remake
the NES versions. I never played any of the GameBoy games tho.
The Metal Gear Acid games are... alright. But not canon. However, they
are planning a PSP title that IS canon! It's called something like
Metal Gear Portable Ops. It will take place 7 years after MGS3: Snake
Eater and will show Big Boss' fall from grace. Sounds like a great
plot. Just wish it wasn't on the PSP. They say the graphics will try
very much to resemble the PS2.

Well, either way, it's a great time to be a Metal Gear fan right now!
Here's something very funny. It's reported Kojima begged to have
Solid Snake included in a Smash Bros game. He was supposed to be
in the last Smash Bros game, but they ran out of time and could
not include him. Well, that's taken care of! Solid Snake is a playable
character in the new Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo Wii!
Other characters include Nintendogs, Wario, Pit and more!!!

I watched the Trailer like 9 times LOL
I cannot get over Raiden! Just the way he looks is making me melt....and those moves? Holy cow! and what does he mean he is going to take care of snake??!?! In a good way? or evil way??? NOOO!! The anticipation is killing me XD!!

And your right! Naomi Hunter! She looks awesome too! I wonder though about Meryl...I never cared for her

but who knows? Maybe this game will redirect me, as it already has with....Raiden

I was so sad watching Snake sit there...Id be his companion ^^; Snake is my ultimate Bishie XD Id kick Touya and Mamoru to the side anyday!

OMG The MGS4 trailer blew me away! Also,I saw the trailer for SSBB yesterday! Freakin hilarious! I'm definetily getting a Wii for this. I can't wait any longer. I want to play these games now!

i too, am i huge MGS fan. i didnt like 3 as much as i thought i would.
i found it to be much too difficult

i still think that even today, MGS 2
is one the best ps2 games ever made. id probably put it second behind
god of war

i cant wait to watch this one, i watched the trailer it came out and was
blown away.

Still more good news! There will be a new Metal Gear game for the PSP.
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops will be canon (unlike Metal Gear Acid) and
will take place 7 years after MGS3: Snake Eater. It will illustrate Big Boss'
fall from grace and several familiar faces will appear. The graphics
resemble the PS2 very much (due to low poly bodies but high poly faces).
It's extremely impressive and pretty much sells me on getting a PSP.

Yet another bit of coolness, the official Metal Gear Solid comic by Konami
(illustrated by Ashley Wood) will be made into an interactive digital
graphic novel for the PSP. It's animated and does feature some playable
parts. Looks AMAZING!
