Recommendations for Nintendo DS games?

Post by Sugarflower »

I'm looking for a few good DS games to get but really don't know what's out on the market. I love RPG and some puzzles. BTW, is the new Zelda game out yet?

Well here is the cover Image Its a fighting game but I think the best DBZ handheld game. What I liked about this game is how much space you have to fight and fly in. This is how the game looks Image Its actually cheap its only 29.99 here is the website http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2262053

The new Zelda isn't out yet - but the Zelda GBA games are great and playable on the DS ^^

DS games, I recommend:

Daigasso! Band Brothers
New Super Mario Bros.
Super Princess Peach
Animal Crossing
Trauma Center: Under the Knife
Tetris DS
Mariokart DS

^^
'I beg of you, Please Save Sakura!' - Tsubasa ^_^

I love the DS! Here are some games I own and recommend, depending on
what type of gamer you are.

New Super Mario Bros - Fun action platformer, just like the NES original
Animal Crossing Wild World - RPG-esque. Play a little everyday, very addictive.
Brain Age - Series of amusing tests and puzzles to keep you alert. You can justify this purchase because you'll feel smarter, hehe
Mario Kart DS - Racing game you can play online with friends. Lots to unlock.
Tetris DS - It's a classic! Good for puzzle gamers.
Trauma Center - You get to perform surgery with the stylus! Very original concept. Gets incredibly hard though.
Trace Memory - Mystery adventure game. Entertaining, not too difficult.
Phoenix Wright - You play an ace attorney. Another point & click adventure game.
Sprung - Dating sim adventure game from Ubisoft. The jokes are hilarious.
Sonic Rush - Traditional Sonic style action platformer. Very fun.
Meteos - Very addictive and original puzzle game.
Kirby: Canvas Curse - Action platformer which incorporates the stylus beautifully.
Electroplankton - This game is totally weird. It's basically a music maker. Might not be for everyone.
Super Princess Peach - I adore this game! Action platformer that's not too difficult. Very fun!
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow - Horror action adventure. Just like Symphony of the Night.
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time - Nearly a sequel to the Super Star Saga RPG. Entertaining and the sense of humor is great.
Feel the Magic - Puzzle-esque adventure game. Another insane concept from Sega. Unique use of the stylus.
Rub Rabbits - Sequel to Feel the Magic. The objective of both games is to win over the girl. Stylized graphics.

I -LOVED- Trace Memory!! just have to say that ^___^

I'm currently addicted to "Big Brain Academy" - in a way it's a lot like brain age... it 'tests' you in 5 catergories... with very simple tests, but it requires some fast thinking/processing. So So So much fun, to me at least . =D

Do you happen to know when the release date is? I've seen some screenshopts of it and definately want to buy it.

I'll be lurking around ebay for any nice deals I happen to find for some DS games. The only game I have is the special edition Nintendogs that came with my teal DS. I haven't unlocked everything yet but it's getting old, lol.

It's listed as Q4 2006, so I'm guessing closer to Christmas time. A specific
date might be listed somewhere, but I have not seen it yet.

I recommend all the games WC mentioned. I also suggest jump superstars. It's an import game, but will still play on your US DS. It took me a while to learn(don't know japanese well) but it's really fun.

I totally forgot the DS can play japanese games as well! I've seen screenshots from Jump Superstars and would definately like to get that title eventually. Thanks for the help Majinuub. :)

Toni I can't wait for the new Zelda game. I'm so excited about it! :crazy I'll be checking out the links you gave me on those games as well. Is gamespot a good gaming info site or are there any others out there?
