I searched on You Tube for thrity minutes and all the footage I could find was either of very, old primitive versions or guys playing the right game but they weren't able to get past the first blue level.
Watching primitive Tempest versions like this:

...are amusing, but I'd prefer to see someone playing well into the original version. It's been ages since I seen a good game of original-version Tempest.
