My sister won a Wii!

My little sister just won a Nintendo Wii at a raffle through her school's cafeteria. I'm a hopeless Sonic the Hedgehog fan so I will proably start with the Sonic games, but we're trying to decide which games to get for it.
I was also thinking about getting Dance Dance Revolution, but I've never played it before. Does anyone have any suggestions on what games are really fun on the Wii?

Dance Dance Revolution or DDR is a great game to play. However for me its not as fun to play if you have the plastic mats. Better to have the hard mats. The plastic mats after awhile dont work very well.

Id also try Mario Kart. Its a really fun game.

If you like bowling try the little bowling game thats comes with the Wii

At the moment I'm playing Mario Kart Wii, its fun if you liked past Mario Kart games. I've just finished No More Heroes, which is a ton of fun to play, but depending on how little your little sister is, it may be inappropriate for her.

The Wii's most popular genre will be the "party games' genre. Which there are several that I found fun when I first got my Wii, like Carnival Games, Rayman Raving Rabbids, and Mario Party 8. Wii Play and Wii Sports are also enjoyable.

The legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is great, Fire Emblem and Zack & Wiki are also enjoyable games.

I second the recommendation for Mario Party. (it's the only game i've played on it)
