It says any platform, which I assumed meant that PC games were good too. Plus, if it makes you feel better, Escape from Monkey Island was also released for the PS2 (even though it's the weakest of the series).

I was wondering about this too, when I thought about whether characters like the ones from the Fate(/Stay Night) series (PC and PS2) might be eligible.

A number of anime are based on games, mostly visual novel games (like Higurashi and Clannad) and lots of ero (like School Days, visual novel, and Utawarerumono, role-playing game). I imagine I'm like most people here, though: if I've seen anything of either, it's only the anime. I downloaded a demo of Higurashi, but I barely did anything with it--looked at all the kanji in the opening and said, "I'll get to it eventually." Yeah, right.

Yes, any platform means any platform so PC games are just fine.

I wanted to nominate someone from Zork but then again other than a grue, which you never actually see, there really aren't any characters. Well, I guess there is the thief and the dragon and the wizard and the . . .

OMG!

Well, things are calming down some on the nomination front as we enter the second week. Those of you who played the other games know what that means. Yes, selling is opening up.

First though, a few rules about selling/promoting your characters.

1. Keep your images sized down. Please remember not everyone has a huge computer monitor and some still have to suffer with dialup connections. So keep your images 900pixels or less width-wise. (I just picked a random number. My sig is 300pixels width-wise so I figured 600 more should be big enough to make your image seen.

)

2. All videos need to be some sort of link that requires you to click a play button for the video to start. Everyone did this naturally in the other games so this shouldn't be a problem. I have to point it out though because my home computer can't handle multiple tasks at one time. So if I'm going to stream video, I have to close other programs first.

3. Since videogame character images might be harder for some to find images, it's perfectly fine for all kinds of images of these characters. In other words, images of their action figures, box shot of the videogame itself, a music video that mainly centers around that character are all perfectly fine.

4. NO sparklies! NO commentaries or added word bubbles! This could change in later rounds but it is NOT allowed for this round.

If there are any questions regarding selling/promoting your characters, please feel free to ask. I didn't go into specifics in the other games and I received comments good and bad from many people. So I decided on placing some guidelines for all.

I think selling is the best part of the game as that's where I get to learn about characters I might only know by name.

Okay! Selling/promoting is now OPEN to ALL characters that STILL NEED SECONDING ONLY.

Seifer Almasy is a gunblade specialist at Balamb Garden, an elite military school.
