2009 Anime-Beta Awards - AWARDS UP!

I'm just thinking aloud but, why not just open it now? If someone really has an objection to it being opened without the awards being present, they can wait to visit the site when the awards have been added.

I, too, agree with the sentiment that the 2009 awards should display their winners in 2009.

But if someone really wants an award now, I'll take out some markers and make you a special sign!

We would, as that seems to be the general consensus of the board, but we need to finish putting the site together first.

We are changing the way the site works a little in order to pull this off... just give us another hour or so to finish up.

You know, it really seems like the graphics position has become cursed.

It's delayed the last few awards.

Some quick facts about this year's awards:

- A total of 269 pieces were entered in this year's Anime-Beta awards.

- There were 55 participants.

- Of the 55 participants, 42 won at least one award.

- The most awards won by a single participant was six.

- A total of 104 awards were given out.

My congratulations to all the lucky Beta winners and my thanks to everyone who supported my wacky Tonde Buurin cel in the "Shock" category. It's nice to end 2009 with my first Anime-Beta cel top award ever.

And of course, thanks to Angelic Lair and all the others who helped make this event possible!

First thanks for putting up the winners without the awards! I appreciate it!

And thank you to everyone who voted for my cels!! I was shocked!

And since so many eyes were on it, in case anyone out there can ID my Tranquility cel, I'd be most obliged. ^^ I'd really like to know what she's from after all this time, especially now. Just shoot me an email or PM if you know.

As well from me, many thanks. This was the first year I submitted an entry, it was alot of fun...alittle excitement at the end of the year.
Now I know the categories I can watch for good cel candidates in the upcoming year!
