2009 Anime-Beta Awards - AWARDS UP!

Everyone... please... there is no reason to get stressed out. The last-minute entries are coming in as expected.

As of 11 a.m. EST, the following categories (now marked in bold) have received 5 or more entries:

Accessory
Action
Animated
Background
Children
Creature
Cute
Death
Fan Art
Female
Funny
Group
Hanken
Heroic
Joy
Male
Outfit
Rage
Rilezu
Robot
Romance
Shocked
Sorrow
Tranquility

There are now 9 categories with less than 5 entries; 5 of these 9 categories have 4 entries.

We now have less than 9 hours before the end of the submission process. If you have been waiting until the last minute to submit your entries, now is the time to do it.

Participation sent in time (not easy when you live in France for hours!)

If "vehicle" category does not have enough submissions, switch my killer vehicle to "death" category, hu hu hu

Submissions are now officially closed.

We got a HUGE amount of people submitting at (literally) the last minute, so please give us a little bit of time to update the categories list.

Any possibility we can get a finalized total list soon? It would be of great assistence to those that have to resubmit artwork due to their catagory being eliminated.

We'd like to thank everyone who took the time to submit to this year's competition. The entries are spectacular!

We received submissions from 55 different Anime-Beta members. Because of the high participation rate, only two of the 33 categories were cut - "Embarrassed" and "Insanity".

We have already contacted everyone affected by the cuts, and have asked them to re-submit in another category if they would like to.

We're hoping to receive all of the re-submitted items by this Friday, December 11.

Entries will be up for viewing on Monday, December 14... possibly sooner if the site is ready ahead of time.

There was one entry for "insanity" and three entries for "embarrassed".

The good news is that we have already begun receiving re-submissions.

Hopefully we'll have all of them in soon.

if my Dilandau (Escaflowne) have been accepted, there will be 2 entries for Insanity ^^

(but a cel from this same sequence have already won an award some years ago) -_- too bad
