The Anime Beta Awards 2006 [begins November 11th]
It's that time of year when we need to formulate a structure for the annual Anime Beta Awards.
It should be a lot of fun and I'm sure there's plenty of Betarians who'd like to participate in this event.
For those who want to know a little more about the Awards, here's a link to last year's ABA: http://www.bbakira.co.uk/beta/
If people want it to go ahead this year, things will need to be decided and plans finalised by the end of October at the latest, it takes a while to organise things.
This post it just to see if there's interest in holding the event. I know there were a few discrepancies in the category guidelines last time, so that can be addressed and reworked.
The other point to mention is that if it goes ahead, who will run it?
I'm happy to do it again or help out in some way but would be equally happy if someone else steps up, it's no skin off my nose.
Let the 500+ posts commense...

Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

Woohoo! First Open House, now the Beta awards! I'll go ahead and do it this year, even though my next big batch of cels won't be coming in until after October. This should be a lot of fun though! Yay!!

I'm all for it. I'm not sure if i'll participate this year but i'll definitely be there to place my vote.
A good idea for this edition would be to use the beta gallery on rubberslug to host the entire thing or at least to display the winners in a permanent basis.... and maybe the past years ones too. It would be a good idea to promote the gallery.
