Did you mean to use the list where Rilezu cels are not included as entries in each category or did you not copy the latest version of this list? There was a lot debate and even a poll about this subject. The last list was in this thread.

This is hella confusing. X|
We can't even tell if the submissions period is really open or not.
Maybe the start of this thread should be amended to reflect the new timeline. Just a suggestion. :?

As title says "settings thread", when you have another dedicated to rules and details.
Entry opens on 14th.

Rilezu/Repro in one category.

Rilezu/Repro in one category.
I was under the impression that Rilezu Cel's had been allowed to participate in the broader categories via a poll in the lead up to last year's awards? Thus allowing cels from the newer anime shows to be participate, bringing more variety & depth.

Reproduction cels then had their own single category?

That was my question, also. You have stated the question better than I did. However, I was shot down. :shrug

Rilezu/Repro in one category.
I think this is a step back considering it was allowed for all categories last year, it was also decided in a poll to include them from there on out in future competitions from my understanding. I also feel it's hard to decide best repo since they all have different emotions and can fit any one of the categories, Rilezu's also have been considered as cels since with the newer shows not using them right? They aren't fan cels either.

When something says two different things it causes confusion

I'm so glad I'm not participating in this year's awards after reading how disorganized they are.

Back on topic though. Iceman- it was voted by the beta members that rilezu be included in all categories. You can't change the rules for yourself. Mods/Admin don't help with the awards, but we do help give members a vote in how they are run. Perhaps you should do some research on last year's awards and previous polls as to how the members want them done before rushing into them. I'm also surprised to see your web design poll last for just one day as to whether to use Zero's design or rubberslug. Last I checked Zero's design was winning yet you chose rubberslug. That's not listening to the member's voices. Just my 2 yen. The only reason I'm posting is because members told me about the train wreck occurring.

I will remind members though that mods/admin have nothing to do with the awards. They are for members, by members so it's up to the members to work together and agree on how to make it successful.

After that poll was made, zerospace gave his reply in this thread:
zerospace wrote:Given that there is someone out there with the current site source code who probably doesn't like me very much at this point, I feel it is prudent to repair the "holes" in the code before it is used again. I don't like the thought of someone sabotaging a contest for the sake of revenge, but I'd rather not even tempt anyone to try anything. I already have a plan of how to fix the problem, but I need the time to actually implement it. I held off on actually fixing it, because I wasn't sure if I ever would want to after the last contest ended so horrifically.

So I guess the answer is ... maybe, but I'd prefer if you guys used something else this time around, as I would rather not work under the gun during the holiday season.
So we decided in this thread that we would use RS this time. I can see it's confusing for those who haven't read this thread.

Disorder? Jesus, if I wouldn't have revived the competition, it may certainly have been postponed for months or even been cancelled.

Three points were submitted:

1.- System to use >
Question answered ved by conceptor willing to improve the code, and to use then RS gallery.
SOLVED

2.- Schedule >
Adapted to fit US specific requirement of Thanksgiving period.
SOLVED

3.- Repro/Rilezu >
A 7 pages poll was created last year for the last year event, when now we are using an old system fitting some previous rules (2009 ones to be exact), then they have back their dedicated category.
The OS is no more running, forcing us to use a corrupted mode, but allowing to maintain the competition running. Do we have to reopen a 7 pages poll when the configuration is totally different?
This is nothing else than a pure delay on a schedule.

The will to maintain a yearly event, a system now ready, a schedule setted up, why not be simply part of the fun and let the friendly competition taking place.
2012 edition will allow to use the cleaned up code and several automatised systems, let this 2011 event be, and focus later on every possibility of 2012 event.

Allowing Rilezus is pure delay?? Who cares whether it was for the one site or the other? I don’t see how it is a problem, all you have to do is delete the category and let all Rilezus be valid for submission for all categories this would take a whole 5minutes to do.

I appreciate you running the awards, but this has been confusing for us with how fast it’s been going and all the changes

This is my last say on the matter as I do not want to argue.

It’s really sad how it seems like every awards we need to argue I can really feel now why nobody wants to participate in them anymore and this is not looking good on us, I’m sure this discourages other members away

"Reopen a 7 pages poll" is a pure delay. Conclusion with firmed results will fit but not this 7 pages poll that is a pure mess.
At my side it's a simple category suppression and an update of letters for each category.

According to this exact poll result of 51% for rilezu entries: viewtopic.php?f=73&t=26886
Rilezu are then available in all categories, rules & entries updated.
