YAY! Holy COW look at Shocked, seems to be a VERY popular category this year! With Action not very far behind! Peeps let me tell you there is some lovely art coming in! There are still a lot of empty categories! I guess they aren't too popular! However remember I am still running best of show right after the end of this contest. So the categories with less submittals have a better chance of getting into the best of show category! I am SHOCKED and ACTION are now tied! Keep them coming!

So FAR we have had 11 individual Beta-ers, have sent in entries to the contest! Where is everyone that was helping with deciding of the categories!?!? 3 days left for entries, and no murdering me with entries on Hallowe'en! PRETTY Pwease!? ^_~ I have to go through them and update them to the site Friday night to make sure they load on Saturday so we can start voting on time!

Remember, everyone who enters has to vote on every category except for the OPTIONAL Category unless they have entered items in to the optional categories! There are still a few 0 entries in some categories, there are also several categories with only one or two entries in the category! For a category to be viable for voting there have to be at least three entries in that category.

I will be making the determination to cut categories on Friday night at around 8PM EST, if there are not enough entries in the category I will e-mail the relevant parties to see if they are interested in sending in a piece to one of the other categories to maximize their chances of winning at least one award!

I will also be entering my pieces in last in case there is something in my collection that can help round out some of the less popular categories, some I won't be able to help with at all. I.E. the Harmony category (I've never been able to get my hands on one) :'( but I will do my best to fill in if possible to reduce the amount of cuts, and increase the amount of awards to give out.

I'm hoping I won't have to do this! So let's keep this going! Best of LUCK!

Could the first entry in this thread be revised to include the final set of categories?

I considered entering a cel for "Creepy," but I cannot track down a definition of that category, either at the start, or in the previous two pages. Having easy access to the final list of categories and rules would help folks like me who are going through a busy slate of work make some quick decisions and enter at least a few items.

Last DAY to get entries in I will try to update this through the day but it is the last day of the month at work and I should get some stuff done today and will be mad adding stuff tonight so if you can get it over to me sooner rather than later!! I am not entirely unreasonable and am not cutting this off at Midnight tonight. You guys will have till when I wake up tomorrow morning to get entries in!

Also any category with less than 3 entries is in danger of being cut! I will definitely be able to pad the Muscles Category, I am not sure on the Maniacal Laughter I will have to check, I will also be able to pad Are they, Aren't they as well as Novel Setup. None of the main categories are going to be cut this year! Great job everyone spreading out your entries! However it looks like OPTIONAL Worst and Hentai/Yaoi/Yuri will be cut this year I have e-mailed the relevant gallery curators and requested the enter another piece for another OPTIONAL category if they so desire!

Quick Rules Regulations Primer and a Reminder!

1) If you submitted artwork for consideration in this contest, you must vote for all categories. The only exceptions are the optional categories (Eyes on Me, Posteriors, Novel Set-up etc.). These categories are both optional to vote in and optional to submit artwork to. However,if you submitted artwork to an optional category, you must vote in that category. I don't think this is going to be a problem for most as the one Hentai category was cut, although Posteriors did remarkably well!! ^_^

2) This is being done a little different from years past, the entries are all posted on SurveyMonkey instead of being tallied via e-mail or the special code that Beta used to use in the past because it has been officially retired from use by the creator. This will be the very first time the cel contest is being done this way, and I hope if it goes well I can just flop this system over to the Sketch Contest as well. Once the voting is over and the winners announced the RESULTS will be PUBLISHED and open to the public, if there are any questions please ask me right away via e-mail or PM I generally am pretty quick to get back unless there is an emergency.

3) FOLLOW the instructions when voting, and make sure that you put your Anime-Beta User ID (Handle) On EVERY vote you cast. If you do not I will have to toss the vote, this is just a way to keep everyone honest, and also a way for me to make sure everyone who participates votes in EVERYcategory that they are supposed to!

VOTING INSTRUCTIONS

1) Each category has it's own link... click on the link to view the entries. There are a few categories with two pages because there are more than 9 pieces submitted to the category. Please make sure with those that you view both pages before voting.

2) After viewing the entries decide which one you like, and put a check next to it!

3) After checking, pop your Anime-Beta User ID into the empty field where requested

4) Click Done! Repeat until you have voted in all categories that you are required to vote in!

It should be very easy! Again please let me know if you have any problems right away!
