Just questioning the cels that gave a 'reason'?

I found it rather distracting and question why it was included?

Voting is optional during the viewing period with the understanding that if there are changes made during the viewing period votes cannot be changed once they have been cast.

The reason the blurbs were added because I made it an option when asking for submittals, in case someone wanted to clarify why they it felt it was a fit. If it is really irritating I can remove it, but a majority of people would have to tell me so.

Like the fact that the animes are listed I've been looking at the beautiful entries and now I've got a list of things to watch. Still haven't voted yet lots of decisions to make so excited

I think it was a great idea to ID the pieces adn list the Animes and series. A lot of those pieces I would have never known where they come from.

No Rekka your first vote for accessory took, you have to go back to the anime beta post and follow the link to the next category! If you have any further issues let me know!

PS! I have already had a couple of people forget to put in their anime-beta user name when voting, if you don't I am automatically not counting your vote so I am going start a list of people missing votes by category where they have forgotten to put in their Usernames, and I will be PMing people individually asking you to revote in that category!

Also, I would suggest removing the reason text. I don't understand the reasoning for it to be there. It shouldn't be necessary when we're voting on the image alone and no other extra information. I agree It is a bit distracting.

Okay! Good Morning everyone, I'm back and in the land of the living. I broke out my trusty spreadsheet this morning to track the voting and make sure each contestant is voting in EVERY category with the exception of the OPTIONAL categories unless of course you are entered in that category and then voting is mandatory in OPTIONAL.

So a couple of things I have noticed:

If you make a mistake, let me know I can fix it and tell you when you can recast your vote with your beta ID attached. THIS IS HOW I AM CERTIFYING VOTES! So it is imperative that if you make a mistake to let me know ASAP so I can fix it!

If there is no Beta User ID attached the vote is zapped no ifs, ands, or buts about it!

If a USER ID is used that is NOT on the official list of Beta Members Listed on the Forum that vote will be zapped!

I am tracking the voting in that I am making an X on my spreadsheet of all the voters and which categories they have voted, particularly those who have entered the contest, because voting is mandatory for participants. I am however NOT checking which piece you voted for, LOL so no worries about that!

Like I said earlier the spreadsheet is updated as of 1030 this morning I will be PMing the few people I have listed that are missing a couple votes in the categories, right after I post this.

Now all the business stuff is out of the way how is everyone liking SurveyMonkey so far?

Voting I am keeping entirely confidential, if you decide to vote on your own piece do so! The only real requirement is that if you have entered you must vote in every category!

I believe this has been brought up in the past, too. From what I remember, I think the consensus was to still vote for whatever you believe to be the best item in the category, disregarding whether the item belongs to you or not.

Hi Everyone!

In honor of the American MidTerm Election happening today, I wanted to encourage anyone to feel free to rock out your vote in the Anime-Beta Annual (ish) Cel Contest! I also noticed the voting post got buried on page 5 and wanted to make sure everyone could find it easily!

Also I have made changes per some requests mostly just removing the few reason blurbs and adjusting pictures per submitters request. However things have been pretty quiet so I am assuming no one is running into any problems! If you are feel free to PM or email me anytime!

Quick Rules Regulations Primer and a Reminder!

1) If you submitted artwork for consideration in this contest, you must vote for all categories. The only exceptions are the optional categories (Eyes on Me, Posteriors, Novel Set-up etc.). These categories are both optional to vote in and optional to submit artwork to. However,if you submitted artwork to an optional category, you must vote in that category. I don't think this is going to be a problem for most as the one Hentai category was cut, although Posteriors did remarkably well!! ^_^

2) This is being done a little different from years past, the entries are all posted on SurveyMonkey instead of being tallied via e-mail or the special code that Beta used to use in the past because it has been officially retired from use by the creator. This will be the very first time the cel contest is being done this way, and I hope if it goes well I can just flop this system over to the Sketch Contest as well. Once the voting is over and the winners announced the RESULTS will be PUBLISHED and open to the public, if there are any questions please ask me right away via e-mail or PM I generally am pretty quick to get back unless there is an emergency.

3) FOLLOW the instructions when voting, and make sure that you put your Anime-Beta User ID (Handle) On EVERY vote you cast. If you do not I will have to toss the vote, this is just a way to keep everyone honest, and also a way for me to make sure everyone who participates votes in EVERYcategory that they are supposed to!

VOTING INSTRUCTIONS

1) Each category has it's own link... click on the link to view the entries. There are a few categories with two pages because there are more than 9 pieces submitted to the category. Please make sure with those that you view both pages before voting.

2) After viewing the entries decide which one you like, and put a check next to it!

3) After checking, pop your Anime-Beta User ID into the empty field where requested

4) Click Done! Repeat until you have voted in all categories that you are required to vote in!

It should be very easy! Again please let me know if you have any problems right away!
