Sorry, I couldn't find the Overpriced thread.
I think this listing is pretty wacky:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Anime-Cel-Hentai-Se ... 2a0bb3fa59
$2,995.99 for a Yu-No cel! That's pretty amazing.

Actually I have to admit that I got up early to watch this auction but backed off when I saw that a 3-way bidding war had started among 2 Japanside bidders and another SMJ customer.
The interesting thing is that I own the D1 END cel with Kero-chan emerging over the city skyline in his true form.

So the auction is for the layers of Sakura in the bathtub and her shadow, plus a laser copy on paper of the D1 layer.
I figured it might be worth reuniting the two if the Sakura layer didn't go too high -- but I guess naked Sakuras are worth way more than supersized Keros.

Found on E-bay, and probably one of the odder pieces of anime related merchandise I've seen (with exception to the authentic Japanese Sailormoon SuperS toilet paper) ...
http://cgi.ebay.com/THIMBLE-SAILOR-MOON ... 4155b142c6
What does Sailor Moon and sewing have to do with each other?

I don't recall Mandarake auctioning off sketches like this before:
http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/auc_e/item ... 6760400457
Partial sketch anyone?

I've seen this auction several times over the past couple of months, and the title always makes me giggle...
http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r30453260
In small print on the bottom, it says "Manly But Tender".
For 25,000 yen, I demand a happy ending....kinda sorta.

Re: Wacky YJ Auction Items
Someone in the sketch department decided to draw a humorous character in the background of this Sentimental Journey Opening sketch:
http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g104337183
I guess they were bored or something.
I was surprised these Sentimental Journey sketches went for so much 91,000-92,000 yen. Opening Senti sketches have been up on YJ before, but they've never gone for very much:

I don't recall tbm ever bidding on sketches before. Hey...tbm, stay on your side of the line...keep winning 90% of those good Senti cels. Lol

Re: Wacky YJ Auction Items
I hadn't even seen that one, but some days now I'm not even finishing my checking of YJ before deciding to go to sleep. I save the YJ searching for the last minute and it becomes too late for me to finish without losing sleep for the next day. It's nice sketches, but you know how I feel about acquiring pan sketches.
I'd save about 45 minutes a day if I didn't search for cels or sketches at all. All that time would add up fast.

Re: Wacky YJ Auction Items
yeah, pan can be a pain to store but I think scenes do look more epic in pan
I also spent a lot of time searching YJA everyday for stuff but finding new exciting items(just window shop usually) has became part of my life and usually for me Its like the part of getting ready to sleep step 1
