now i can understand the amount if these were original. this is just crazy for copies. i'm assuming the two bidding think there original.

I don't recall him ever selling copies before.

His auction pics have always looked like that as far back as I can remember.

i dont know keropi, i've never bought from this person before.

google language tools which i use to translate says:

Vampire Knight 24 REIAUTORAFU autograph copies of original pictures

normally when i see copies of original picture, i assume copy. plus the pictures look like copies.

hell , i could be wrong, not the first time i would be.

They look like rough sketches to me. And I hope they are for that much $$.

This is how the auction pics from him from the auction I won looked back in Oct 2006:

He's been overemphasizing the lines in his scans since way back when. Unfortunately I don't have anything older than that from him, but you get the idea. It's just an overadjustment on his part.

Just to further agree with Kittens, they are originals according to the descriptions. ç›´ç† (Jikihitsu) is an important word to know in YJ land. It means hand drawn, and is the most common word I have seen used to distinguish originals from copies.

Just wanted to chime in saying I've never known that seller to sell copies before either. I've won numerous auctions from him/her, and all the images look like they should be copies (Keropi is quite right, he's been overemphasizing the lines in his images forever). ;)

It's probably like what I do to make sure the details and colors in my sketch scans show up. I scan my images in darker than they actually are (lower gamma setting). I prefer the inaccurate brightness to lighter lines and certain colors being washed out.

Even though it's not always so (genga and roughs get copied, too)...layout paper makes me more inclined to consider "copy"... A lot of layouts get copied for backgrounds and such.
Original (an example of really dark pencil lines, rather than my scanning techniques):

Copy: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v727/ ... 6copy2.jpg

Although I think I've gotten pretty good at discerning, it can still be pretty tough and sometimes impossible to tell from only the pictures.
