Whose wallet is bleeding?

Post by ReiTheJelly »

Come on. There has to be someone on this board who is going after this cel from The Last Unicorn.

Shipping will also be a ton, since the cel is almost 2 feet wide...

Not me. I already have a cel from that flashback scene (though not nearly as nice) that I have up in my trades section. Good luck to whoever decides to go for it. It certainly is pretty.

Beautiful...and it instantly brought up the sadness of seeing the unicorns forced back into the sea. This movie has always been able to make me cry, even as an adult.

Great shot, and I hope someone from beta ends up with it!

I remember my kids watching that film when they were little. Seeing that cel sure brings back memories.

Minami_Angel2000 has listed some primo TLU cels this past week. There were three which ended yesterday and they have four more listed (ending in 4 days). I wonder whose collection they are liquidating?

I bid up to 314,000 yen on the Amalthea cel but eventually lost to Rinkya. Too bad, I was planning to have the background restored by a professional from the Louvre museum and the result would have been perfect. I only wanted the background and would have sold the cel to cover part of the expenses. So if the winner reads this, I just want him/her to know I am still willing to buy the background to have it restored. I would then send him/her a laser color copy of the result. It is a shame to leave such a beautiful background in such a bad condition with a non-matching cel.

The last batch didn't really interest me much, but the current ones they have up make me wish I was a was a millionaire (or at least had credit like one).

I can't afford any big purchases right now, but I'll be interested in seeing how this next round goes.

There have been some amazing ones popping up lately. I do hope someone here bids and wins so we can all admire them. I agree with Ashenfairy - I wish I was a millionare too!

Haven't bid on anything so far, but the BGs, past and current, are definitely tempting. Like someone else said, the BGs interest me a lot more than the cels they have been matched with.

If only she would put up cels of some of the characters I don't already own. I would be all over those.
