No, sorry. The great majority are sketch pictures since that's what I've mainly been collecting the past three years. I wish I had saved earlier. I used to save auction pics by printing out the YJ action page in black and white laser printer. I was worried about CD degradation. Mostly those were To Heart and Sentimental Journey cels I think.

But there were some good cels back then. I feel sad that I didn't save those images. Those cels are completely gone now. I can't even remember how they looked like, but I remember them being good.

and with ebay now hiding all the contact info...
If you're patient you can work out where it went by waiting and seeing if the buyer leaves feedback, assuming they follow good ebay etiquette.

I've never saved any picture of a cel I didn't buy though. Kind of wish I had, there has been a single "one that got away" that I wish I'd kept a record on.

Who who collects Sailormoon could forget this one? Not a cel, but I'd guess a layout (since pan cel douga are taped together, right?), of what would be a Holy Grail of Sailormoon cels:

Hilariously, I started collecting cels only a month after this ended. Would've been awesome to own if I knew and had around $400 to blow at the time. XD;

I, too, keep images from auctions I don't win ... though not every single one. I have a folder of these images on my HD, mainly so that if the cel or sketch ever shows up in a gallery or up for sale again, I'll know it's that one and not a sequence mate ;). I don't keep notes on prices like some others do, though >_<.

Oh yeah, and none from those series, guardiansofgood ;).

I thought it ended at $500. But even so, if you had bid on it, it could have gone much higher. If the recent douga/genga set featuring Neo Serenity/Endymion/Small Lady is any indication, there are people willing to spend thousands of dollars on sketches.

The only images I have saved are Sailormoon images, so, I can't be of much help to you, Guardians.

I have a tendancy to save images as well as sometimes keeping notes on what it ended at, but none of the series I do that with are the ones you are looking for.

The sketch set was cool for the NQS/Endymion/Chibi-Usa set, but I was surprised it went for so much. I did bid on a recent set for the last ending sketches (feather floating and rippling) alas, it ended for more than I wanted to pay for it.

Awesome Saturn sketch -thank you for posting that picture. It will help when I go to make an 18" doll version. The only thing I had to work with was a bunch of screencaps from SMS ^_^;

I have also gotten into the habit of saving auction photos and info of cels that I have missed out on for whatever reason. Like Maiko I keep track of the price and who was selling. Not only is it interesting but it helps me to keep track of and understand my own buying habits. I can compare the cels in my gallery to those I looked over, couldn't afford or was outbid on. Maybe it will help me buy more wisely in the future so that I will be more satisfied with my choices. Its also nice to have images to drool over, especially if the cels don't end up on Rubberslug or Anime-Beta.

Ah yes, I can see it now. It looks good. At least you can the color in yours. Lol

I wonder why the top blue line doesn't translate? If I had an unlimited amount of time, I would save in two formats - in English and in Japanese text.

When I saving by pictures I would name them in these formats:

1. When I won:

air2a5th12082007_43000yen_seller_sellername_I_bid54000yen

air = name of anime
2 = 2nd set I bought
a = pics go a, b, c,etc
5th = the fifth set I ever seen from it
12082007 = date auction ended
43000yen = final bid price

2. If I didn't win:

air5th12082007a43000yen_seller_sellername_I_bid_33000yen
air5th12082007a43000yen_seller_sellername_Rinkya_won

The "I bid" part is left off if I didn't bid on it.

For auctions from same seller that end the same day for the same amount:

tokyomajin12082007#1a5200yen_seller_sellername_SMJ_won
tokyomajin12082007#1b5200yen_seller_sellername
tokyomajin12082007#1c5200yen_seller_sellername_Rinkya_won

Auction data would be saved like this:

sni***** (37) 3,300 1-17 23:54 z_p***** (212) 3,200 1-18 0:02 com***** (1210) 1,800 1-14 14:37 were top bidders - auc info saved 02232010 - 40 pcs - top auc desc had "iro" there
