When I translated it, it came up as 'handwriting background' which to me would suggest it's just the sketch and the other image is there for comparison - but i'm by no means sure (... looked at this auction herself earlier ^_^)

Second pic the sketch is just a start to create the Hanken.

Haha, I had absolutely nothing helpful to contribute in explaining this. But when I looked at it my very first thought was "Wow those persimmons look good....wish they were in season ight now!"
